Detroit Tigers, Volume 4: The Rudy York edition

Re: Detroit Tigers, Volume 4: The Rudy York edition

I think there's going to be more guys gone than people think.

To start...Raburn, Peralta, Delmon, Porcello, Boesch, Valverde, Coke. I think they're all going to be elsewhere come next April. And that's not taking into consideration short-term moves made just for this year, like Baker and Sanchez. There's 9 on the active roster right there.

Chance to get back to 2 GB tonight, as Harrelson's Heroes last to the O-faces earlier today.

What about Leyland?

Re: Detroit Tigers, Volume 4: The Rudy York edition

12 hits tonight. 11 LOB.

Viagra couldn't fix this group of limpdicks.

I'm not going to be nice about this, and I don't expect anyone else to be, either, if they so desire. If we're any closer than 5 GB after Monday night, I'll be stunned.

CABRERA!!!

2-0, bottom 1.

I figure he owes us from last night's pitiful display of running in the 9th.

Re: Detroit Tigers, Volume 4: The Rudy York edition

Bases loaded, 1 out. Now let's see if we brought our nuts to the ballpark.

Re: Detroit Tigers, Volume 4: The Rudy York edition

Oh, roster move today:

Jeff Baker DFA'd

Avisail Garcia called up from Erie. He's expected to start tomorrow night and play RF.

Re: Detroit Tigers, Volume 4: The Rudy York edition

And AJ Pusswagon homers in the next half-inning.

Re: Detroit Tigers, Volume 4: The Rudy York edition

Cabrera's ankle isn't even close to 100%. He was hopping out of the batter's box.

Re: Detroit Tigers, Volume 4: The Rudy York edition

First Omar butchers a double play, then he takes a force play and starts to head to the dugout, thinking there's 3 outs. Listen, assmonkey, if you had made the proper throw to Fielder, there WOULD have been three outs. Get your **** together. We're only playing the 1st place team at the end of August, potentially for a playoff spot. It wouldn't kill you to know how many ****ing outs there are.

And now CWS has the bases loaded, and no ball has been hit further than 110 feet.

I bet Harrelson is raving about that last bunt, saying that it was a bullet that almost blew Cabrera's nuts off.

Re: Detroit Tigers, Volume 4: The Rudy York edition

And now we hit a guy with the bases loaded.

This is ridiculous.

Re: Detroit Tigers, Volume 4: The Rudy York edition

Jeff Baker has been traded to the Braves. Whether we traded him for a bag of Cheetos or Ruffles, that has not been determined.

Re: Detroit Tigers, Volume 4: The Rudy York edition

Dear Mr. Allen:

A "clothesline" to home plate does not hop twice on the way to said home plate. That analogy was not exactly "country strong".

Respectfully yours,

Hammer

Re: Detroit Tigers, Volume 4: The Rudy York edition

I don't think that Fielder is the guy you want to hit, even if you want to retaliate.

Bases loaded, 0 out. Let's see how we **** this away.

Re: Detroit Tigers, Volume 4: The Rudy York edition

Holy ****. Delmon clears the sacks with a 3-run double.

As for getting thrown out at 3rd.....I, uh, didn't see that. I musta been looking the other way or something.

7-4, bottom 7.
