Al Al moved to Toledo to continue his rehab. We're going to have to look at pitchers here soon. Obvious candidate to me is Darin Downs, who hasn't pitched poorly at all (2.35 ERA, 1.17 WHIP, 10 K's in 7.2 IP), and truth be known, doesn't deserve to be sent down.

Here's your pen, as currently constructed. Tell me who goes, and be realistic. Phil Coke isn't going to Toledo:

Benoit
Below
Coke
Dotel
Downs
Valverde
Villareal

Make Raburn a reliever and then send him down. Problem solved.

Re: Detroit Tigers, Volume 3 - The Alan Trammell version

Tarp. I was just coming to say that there was going to be a rain delay shortly.

Thunder and lightning, too.

Re: Detroit Tigers, Volume 3 - The Alan Trammell version

Hopefully the small cell gets through and then they can get three more innings in before the big one rolls through.

Re: Detroit Tigers, Volume 3 - The Alan Trammell version

They've already pulled the tarp. It's getting dark around here, too.

Re: Detroit Tigers, Volume 3 - The Alan Trammell version

Tigers just need to bunt every first pitch and get out, then hope Fister can hold the lead. This one isn't lasting nine. Who knows if it will even make five.

Re: Detroit Tigers, Volume 3 - The Alan Trammell version

The first wave is just getting here now. The heavy stuff is approaching Hillsdale, about 1/2 hour from here.

They should get 5 in. Anything more than that may be a gamble. I figure they've got until about 10 PM or so.

"Ok, everyone, we're letting Delmon make the hitting calls tonight."

Re: Detroit Tigers, Volume 3 - The Alan Trammell version

Well, we got our 5 in. Now it gets interesting...

Re: Detroit Tigers, Volume 3 - The Alan Trammell version

Nevermind, the way Fister is pitching this storm has to hold off.

GO AWAY RAIN!!!

Re: Detroit Tigers, Volume 3 - The Alan Trammell version

And now the weather takes the dish out. Lovely.

Re: Detroit Tigers, Volume 3 - The Alan Trammell version

Nevermind, Cleveland gets their first hit/baserunner. Let the rain come now.

Re: Detroit Tigers, Volume 3 - The Alan Trammell version

man the difference a week makes. last week in Cleveland we couldn't buy a hit and the Indians were tough, and here different story.

6-1 final.

Questionable final strike there, but Fister goes the distance.

Re: Detroit Tigers, Volume 3 - The Alan Trammell version

Leyland got his money's worth on that argument. Got thrown out, but that was a good three minute argument, one of the longer ones I've seen before. Laird thrown out too due to a blatant missed call. Avila will now catch.

We had multiple tossings against the Indians earlier this year too.

Re: Detroit Tigers, Volume 3 - The Alan Trammell version

Jackson lead off triple, can't get him in. Infante K's, Cabby and Prince walked, then Berry hits into a 3-2-3 DP with a five man infield for Cleveland.
