Re: Detroit Tigers, Volume 3 - The Alan Trammell version

34 walks in 38.1 IP from Ortega. That's not a good sign.

Christ Almighty. I think that one concussed a beer vendor.

BOESCH!!!

6-4 Twins, bottom 4.

Another solo shot. *shrug*

JACKSON!!!

6-6, bottom 4.

I am mildly impressed.

P.S. That was a smooth catch on that homer by the little kid.

Re: Detroit Tigers, Volume 3 - The Alan Trammell version

Here's where they leave Ortega in for about 6 batters too many, he walks 4 and the fifth doubles home two more runs.

Re: Detroit Tigers, Volume 3 - The Alan Trammell version

We really need to win this one. The Homicide Squad has finally arrived at Cellular Field in Chicago. The White Sox are killing the Rangers 18-0.

Re: Detroit Tigers, Volume 3 - The Alan Trammell version

39-42 at the halfway point.

As a part of this, I usually do mid-term grades. You can guess what most of them are going to look like.

Re: Detroit Tigers, Volume 3 - The Alan Trammell version

Holy cats, it's dark at the ballpark.

There's nothing on the radar behind this storm, and it's all in the close vicinity of the city. I wouldn't be surprised if they're playing just past 8:00.

Re: Detroit Tigers, Volume 3 - The Alan Trammell version

Looks like there's one more cell in the area, and then they should be good.

It was 101 according to the ballpark scoreboard at 7 PM. According to Weather.com, it's now 72.

What?!?!?! Bring that to the West side please!

Re: Detroit Tigers, Volume 3 - The Alan Trammell version

Here they're calling for 60% chance of thunderstorms tonight before 2 AM, but there's literally nothing on the radar between here and Omaha. The next storm on the radar is halfway between Cheyenne and Omaha. It's also 17 degrees cooler in Detroit (~70 miles away) than it is in Adrian.

I'm also watching skiing. I have no idea why.

Re: Detroit Tigers, Volume 3 - The Alan Trammell version

We might have just broke another pitcher. Avila this time with the damage, off of Duensing.

CABRERA!!!

3-1, bottom 6.

Another cannon shot to the bushes.

Re: Detroit Tigers, Volume 3 - The Alan Trammell version

Woah, did that guy bomb the end of God Bless America. That was painful to hear.

CABRERA - 2!!!

5-1, bottom 7

Why they pitch to him in a situation like that is beyond me.

Re: Detroit Tigers, Volume 3 - The Alan Trammell version

I noticed that, too. It sounded like his voice broke at the end of that.

Broke hardcore. Sounds like he really tried too hard to nail it. If he had eased up, I think he woulda been fine.

And down go the Twins, again. They really need some pitching. /broken record

If I read an earlier graphic correctly, you guys are .500 since the end of April. That 6-16 start killed you guys.

Diamond has been ok. Frankie has been mostly ok lately (I'll forgive him because of the heat this last start). This just looks like a poorer version of a division title team that would bow out of the first round of the playoffs. That's just not cutting it anymore.

And yeah, Verlander? The kid's kinda good, and looks like he'll stay that way for quite a few years. ;)
