Re: Detroit Tigers, Volume 3 - The Alan Trammell version

Gump hasn't been happy with the umpiring all night.

4-4, top 6.

BOESCH!!!

6-4, top 7.

Re: Detroit Tigers, Volume 3 - The Alan Trammell version

I don't think the umpire even saw the play at the plate there.

Re: Detroit Tigers, Volume 3 - The Alan Trammell version

It looked like he was trying to get in position, and a player (the pitcher?) might have blocked his view.

Why do I have the feeling that Valverde is going to turn a 4-run lead into a gong show tonight?

Re: Detroit Tigers, Volume 3 - The Alan Trammell version

Who are we waiting to return to send Matt Young back down? Dude has a 90% K rate.

Okay, just because you saw Winnie the Pooh when you were little, that does not give you the go-ahead to dress like Tigger in the seats, Tiger fan or otherwise.

8-4 final.

Although I'd prefer we don't try to break Jackson in half by sending him careening into the ivy in the process. We just got him back.

Re: Detroit Tigers, Volume 3 - The Alan Trammell version

Roster moves appear to be coming today. No idea what.

Re: Detroit Tigers, Volume 3 - The Alan Trammell version

Smyly to the DL with that blister. Ryan Raburn, of all people, is back.

Re: Detroit Tigers, Volume 3 - The Alan Trammell version

And of course, Leyland is immediately inserting him into the starting lineup after a 6-31 stint in Toledo.

Re: Detroit Tigers, Volume 3 - The Alan Trammell version

Well, if he's on the roster for six more days, he can refuse assignment and become a free agent. So I guess they can send him down again.

The Detroit News is reporting that Fister is going to return on Saturday. Another move is going to be necessary, and then yet another one is going to be made when Dirks returns, whenever that is. Matt Young is going to go down in one of these moves, likely for Dirks. I'll be curious to see what they do for Saturday.

Someone's getting released, or they are sending down Q- which would be a mistake.

Either way, this team doesn't look to be more than a 80 win team at this point.

Re: Detroit Tigers, Volume 3 - The Alan Trammell version

I'll tell you what. Crosby was about 1 pitch from getting KO'd there in the 3rd. That escape made Houdini sit up and take note.

Re: Detroit Tigers, Volume 3 - The Alan Trammell version

Oh, I thought Cabrera was going to have to bury the catcher at the plate. That would have been a sight to see.

3-2 Tigers, bottom 3.

Re: Detroit Tigers, Volume 3 - The Alan Trammell version

So they get to Crosby an inning later. Not a good outing.
