Re: Detroit Tigers, Volume 3 - The Alan Trammell version

I've had enough. I've been avoiding reading lately. I'm going to bed to read.

Rally caps anyone!?!?

We could put rally caps on our feet and it don't think it will help us.

I intend to go for a walk. If any of you wish to continue mocking this gong show of a team, you are encouraged to do so. You know where the toys are.

How do you walk the bases loaded, on purpose, when we're already down 4 in the first place?

Re: Detroit Tigers, Volume 3 - The Alan Trammell version

This thread is pretty clearly giving us the manager Trammell instead of the shortstop. How do we adjust that?

Re: Detroit Tigers, Volume 3 - The Alan Trammell version

So Legendary Lloyd found something in Boesch's swing. What the **** was he doing the first 10 weeks of the year?

Re: Detroit Tigers, Volume 3 - The Alan Trammell version

Get to see the Tigers and Reds play in Cincy this Sunday. :)

Re: Detroit Tigers, Volume 3 - The Alan Trammell version

Well, you'll see the Reds play. The Tigers are going to be there, but no one knows what they're going to do.

Re: Detroit Tigers, Volume 3 - The Alan Trammell version

Was that an f-bomb I just read on Max's lips as he came off the field?

Edit: Let's just say the Tribe sweeps this series. Is someone going to read the riot act to this team or are they professionals and can't be talked to like that?
Something needs to happen. You would have thought when Inge was finally cut things would start to get better for the Tigers via just not having to trot Blacksmith Arms out there. But eh, they've been playing like wet turds since then. A gesture needs to be made and sometime soon. Via a Riot Act rant or the canning of one of the assistant coaches, something needs to happen.

I'll tell ya, outside of a couple of guys in the everyday lineup, this team reeks of AAA talent at best. You can only coach that up so much, although the mental blunders are more a sign of frustration and pressure than lack of talent, even with the thin lineup we are sporting these days.

I suggested some time ago that Leyland and his crack staff cost this franchise wins every season. Now I think that it is evident that they don't know how to make adjustments during the season and have basically tinkered with guys (like Schertzer and Boesch) to the point where they are mentally screwed up. Injuries have been devastating so far, but no way should this team be struggling to beat central division teams. 4-9 against the Sox and the Indians now going into the matinee today.

Re: Detroit Tigers, Volume 3 - The Alan Trammell version

Way to overmanage again, Leyland. 18 pitches and one hit: Yank Villareal so Coke can give up 3 hits in a row. At least you avoided that dreadful lefty vs. lefty matchup, the only ****ing thing you ever consider.

BOESCH!!!

4-1 Reds, top 4

Ricky already served up a bomb to Votto.

Re: Detroit Tigers, Volume 3 - The Alan Trammell version

I know it's an incredibly small sample size, but Porcello is batting .250 (3/12) in his career and was an excellent hitter in high school? Why are we bunting with him when there's other guys on this team who bat everyday but can't even hit .200?
