Fielder K's to end the game. We still haven't won 2 in a row in 5 weeks.

Re: Detroit Tigers, Volume 3 - The Alan Trammell version

And we STILL haven't won 2 in a row in over 5 weeks. This is absurd.

Re: Detroit Tigers, Volume 3 - The Alan Trammell version

Quintin Berry is up, Ballester DFA'd. Berry is 27, is leading off, playing CF, and made his MLB debut tonight. I do expect more out of him than what Eldred gave us, but not a whole lot. He's fast, but again, he's 27.

Fister is latest starter to get squeezed early in a game.

What was Cabrera thinking right there? He doubles to lead off the 4th & then he tries to take 3rd on a Fielder fly-out to center. He ends up being out by a mile. Young then hits a single, but instead of it likely being 1-0, it's still 0-0.

Re: Detroit Tigers, Volume 3 - The Alan Trammell version

He outsmarted himself there. We're gonna make outs on the basepaths. Every team does. I'd just prefer that we don't make them at third base.

What pops into my head is this: what carnage would occur if either Cabrera or Fielder would have to bury the catcher on a play at the plate?

We should have had that last year in the ALCS when Cruz fired that laser from RF & got Cabrera trying to score on the sac fly.

Re: Detroit Tigers, Volume 3 - The Alan Trammell version

Dirks should have been a dead duck at the plate. Wow.

Re: Detroit Tigers, Volume 3 - The Alan Trammell version

Well, Fister just gave up the lead. Let's see how long it takes us to fold like a birthday card.

Re: Detroit Tigers, Volume 3 - The Alan Trammell version

That's the same pitch Meals rammed up Fister's ***, and now he rings up Peralta on one further off the plate.
