Re: Detroit Tigers, Volume 3 - The Alan Trammell version

Scherzer's gonna be lucky to get through 4, let alone 5.

Re: Detroit Tigers, Volume 3 - The Alan Trammell version

Holy Christ, what was Lamont thinking sending Boesch there? We already had the game tied, and Usain Bolt wouldn't have scored there, even if he was driving a speedboat. That was flat-out reckless and wasteful.

Re: Detroit Tigers, Volume 3 - The Alan Trammell version

Seriously, it was a minor miracle he wasn't out by more than the 30 feet that he was.

Re: Detroit Tigers, Volume 3 - The Alan Trammell version

Okay, we're gonna give a tip of the hat to Marlboro Jimmy for that piece of strategery to get us out of the 10th, and the defense didn't kick it away.

Re: Detroit Tigers, Volume 3 - The Alan Trammell version

Victim of bad luck there.

Oh, we called up Worth yesterday. We sent Ortega back down on the 9th. That's how he got here.

Re: Detroit Tigers, Volume 3 - The Alan Trammell version

A bunt once in a while is fine, provided you have a guy who can do it properly. It's not 1966 anymore. We don't need it 3 times a game. One reminder, though. When you play for one run, that's all you usually get.

And besides, it's Danny Worth.

Re: Detroit Tigers, Volume 3 - The Alan Trammell version

Okay, now it's time to hope and pray that Valverde has his crap together today.

Re: Detroit Tigers, Volume 3 - The Alan Trammell version

Good hopping Lord in a pickle can.

We're gonna lose. It's just a matter of when and how.

Re: Detroit Tigers, Volume 3 - The Alan Trammell version

Valverde just wanted to give Austin another chance at extending his hit streak.

....sigh.

Re: Detroit Tigers, Volume 3 - The Alan Trammell version

And then Jackson proceeds to do about as good a job at the plate as Valverde did on the mound.
