Re: Detroit Tigers, Volume 3 - The Alan Trammell version

I had a (baseless) feeling that Verlander would get hit early.

Re: Detroit Tigers, Volume 3 - The Alan Trammell version

They're worried about Verlander's pitch count. He's not due to start again until Sunday.

Re: Detroit Tigers, Volume 3 - The Alan Trammell version

He's going full Dontrelle Willis before our very eyes. Might want to put that fastball away for a couple pitches.

A triple. To Pablo ****ing Sandoval. Maybe RA Dickey should have started for the AL instead.

Re: Detroit Tigers, Volume 3 - The Alan Trammell version

Hah! Screw you, Texas! No home field for the 3rd straight year.

Sigh.

Re: Detroit Tigers, Volume 3 - The Alan Trammell version

And then Fielder can't handle the throw. Jeebus, how many times have we seen this, this year?

Re: Detroit Tigers, Volume 3 - The Alan Trammell version

It's finally over. At least they didn't hit a grand slam against him.

At the rate we're going, Fielder is going to roll an ankle in the 3rd inning, and Cabrera is going to get beaned in the 6th.

Re: Detroit Tigers, Volume 3 - The Alan Trammell version

And Cabrera is going to hit against the knuckleball. This could be good.

Re: Detroit Tigers, Volume 3 - The Alan Trammell version

I spent the last couple of days in the NYC area on business. Can't say they were excited about the All Star game, either. Drove by Yankee Stadium and Citi Field- closest I've ever been to a game at either. A supplier of our company has season tix for both they and the Mets, so maybe one day. Manhattan: okay, we know what's there- Central Park, the skyline, 34th street(Mad Sq Garden), Empire State Bdlg, also Times Square etc in the Theatre district. Bronx, by day no different than Detroit. Same with Queens. Didn't go down to Brooklyn (stayed near LaGuardia one night) or Long Island. Saw some of Long Island sound,up near Bridgeport Cn. Ventured over to NJ- saw the Pru Center from a distance and can live without a trip back to Linden. Dinner on the Hudson in Weehawken was good, though. Good weather and met alot of nice New Yorkers.

CABRERA!!!

4-1 Tigers, top 5.

One of these days he's gonna hit one over the batter's eye in center.

Re: Detroit Tigers, Volume 3 - The Alan Trammell version

Drew Smyly back to the DL with the same rib injury that shut Fister down twice this year. Luis Marte recalled.

When Smyly's turn in the rotation comes up, Jacob Turner is going to make that start, so another move will need to be made then.

Ah. Good to see that Scherzer found the fruit stand. He's throwing grapefruit again.
