Tigers 10 : 0 BoSox - Below gets the W.

Re: Detroit Tigers, Volume 2 - The Charlie Gehringer version

Fister to the DL.

The first bump in the road.

Re: Detroit Tigers, Volume 2 - The Charlie Gehringer version

Cabrera made a couple of nice plays at third and some good throws too. Impressive.

Fister to the DL.

The first bump in the road.

He threw a fastball across his body that got away from him. Saw him wince and hold his side after. This could be a long one, unfortunately.

On that note, Has our pitching been that good, or is Boston's offense that anemic?

And wow, a lineup comparison by Fox (Buck) to the old Yankees lineups. Yes, indeed this may be fun, but let's not get ahead of things.

Re: Detroit Tigers, Volume 2 - The Charlie Gehringer version

Yeah, Jimmy Smokes? Bringing in pitchers for lefty/lefty matchups only makes sense if you're not bringing in Daniel Schlereth.

Re: Detroit Tigers, Volume 2 - The Charlie Gehringer version

WOW, what a finish!

Tigers 13 : 12 BoSox in 11

SWEEP of the SOX

EDIT: Below gets the W again.

Re: Detroit Tigers, Volume 2 - The Charlie Gehringer version

Horrific pitching on both sides today. The casual fan would have thought the Tigers were playing their home games at Fenway.

Re: Detroit Tigers, Volume 2 - The Charlie Gehringer version

Interesting weekend of Tigs baseball to say the least. Was fortunate enough to do the downtown double header on Saturday, seeing former Irish skater Riley Sheahan make his Redwings debut then catch most of the wipeout of the BoSox up the road. This team should outscore the other guys most days. If the pitching is anywhere near mediocre, there are lots of wins out there.

Re: Detroit Tigers, Volume 2 - The Charlie Gehringer version

And Coke gets the W. No starters with a win yet. Who will be the first?
