Detroit Lions 2016: I'm Bad, And That's Good.

Re: Detroit Lions 2016: I'm Bad, And That's Good.

Season was done when Stafford's finger was ****ed up. Unfortunately, they get to get beat in Seattle (and the notorious horse**** officiating there) and go Loins when they start next season 2-7 before finally gutting Caldwell.

Obviously didn't matter, but Seattle is a joke for NFL officiating. Every year.

Re: Detroit Lions 2016: I'm Bad, And That's Good.

I didn't either. I had 6-10 and a bonfire at the end of the season.

Hmm, thought I had said something like 7-9 or 8-8, but it seems I never posted that in this thread. I must've put it on Zuckerbook, and since "deleted" it in the last few days, as I continue my campaign of getting off that infernal platform.

Ah, well..

FB is all about what you do with it. Same thing goes for boards like this.

Re: Detroit Lions 2016: I'm Bad, And That's Good.

Maybe, maybe not.

Consider how the mental part of the game would have changed had that first TD got called back. Holding them to 3 there, or stopping a second 4th down try could have been big. Instead, we get to see a great catch that included a blatant face mask.

Or there was a long pass where our receiver was being held. So don't call it PI- that's fine. But it WAS HOLDING. Keep the O going some more lets the D get some more rest.

It's tiring to see close calls go against one team- between the no calls and calls- it's gets into a bad mental state.

I'd be a LOT less angry had the Lions lost straight up vs. having the officials bias the calls like that.

Re: Detroit Lions 2016: I'm Bad, And That's Good.

Needs:

Another lineman, because either Warford or Reiff likely won't be back.

LBs: Levy is a shell of himself, and we need more help there, anyway.

CB: We've got Slay, a young Nevin Lawson, and a bunch of guys that were bagging groceries this past offseason

Another safety. Glover Quin isn't getting any younger, and he needs help anyway.

DL: Ngata is 33 now, and we need another end to bookend Ansah. I'm not sold on Kerry Hyder.

We did get the benefit of one really bad call and a few borderline calls, but Rawls ran wild all day and that (plus Stafford's injury limitation) won the game.

One can say that, but it's a fair argument that the one really bad call could have changed things pretty dramatically, too. As for the borderline calls- I'd say there were more than a few....

Lets put it this way- it makes watching football a lot less interesting. When it's actual fair competition, it's more interesting.

I fully agree.

Help us Bobby Quinn-o-bee!! You're our only hope!

He's been here a whopping 11 months. That's why I'm not going nanners about things like so many other people are elsewhere.

Speaking of Orlovsky, remember when he ran out of the back of the end zone for a safety?
