Today was the first "Oh, right, Stafford has 15 career starts" moment. Seemed to be holding the ball long in the pocket. One that I counted, he started sliding, then running and getting dragged down at about 3.5 seconds. Ball needs to be gone. Other than that? It's the NFL. 10-11 wins should be the goal for this season after the start. **** impressive run game by the 49ers.

Schwartz knows this was a huge game, at home... and his team (specifically his offense) coughed it up in the 4th quarter. Stafford looks timid, tentative and like a deer in the headlights today. Don't get it. The after game nonsense is all about nothing- more about Schwartz's frustration with losing a game on a 4th down play and having a young coach get too excited about it.

Schwartz was a little sensitive there but Harbaugh acted like a tool. He needs to settle down.

The Lions have acquired RB Ronnie Brown from the Iggles.

Apparently the trade fell through because they do a CT scan to check for concussion possibilities and found a brain tumor on Harrison. Pretty lucky for him in that case.

There's the injury bug, then there's THAT. JFC.

I don't know whether to post "The Detroit Lions Cannot Have Nice Things" or be happy that the whole situation might have saved his life.

ETA: Oh, and not to add more fuel to the fire, but Best might be sitting the rest of the season.

This is starting to look for me like that one Tech season where we started like 5-2-0 and took down #1 UND, then Teslak started having back spasms and we fell apart in sections and missed the F5.

Obviously they're going to sign a guy or two, but literally none of the names sound remotely interesting.

I'd just stick Stefan Logan in the backfield. As is, the O-line opens maybe one hole a week for Best, so it's not like you need another guy that runs between the tackles. He can handle the screens and flare out patterns that Best ran and you could give him a sweep play or two that goes to Calvin's side of the field and pitch it to CJ once. The only problem is blitz pickup.

If the management staff can put players that the coaching staff can use, I'm fine if I've never heard of them. Plenty of times, players all of a sudden are good when we've never heard of them prior thanks to the coaching staff. I know it's quite possible that the other shoe is on it's way to the ground. But who knows. I think they are going to be ok. 5-1 in the NFL is not even close to the same in the NCAA.

He was a great back in college, I saw him a few times way back then South Dakota made a few trips to Michigan for games. Not going to get ya a lot of tough yards, but get him out in space a little, he can get that. As for short yardage, hell, go grab Suh and use him as a decoy 7 out of 10 times.
