I can't believe it either. I loved listening to him on the radio, and loved reading his columns.

This is a huge loss for the Detroit sports media.

An autopsy showed that Killer died of acute congestive heart failure. I can't say that the cause of death was a huge surprise, given that he was about 6-7 and was 300+.

Someone email Wojo and tell him to get his butt in shape. That's two reporters over the past couple years that have died unexpectedly. I'm in no hurry for a third.

TMQ doesn't see Stafford remaining healthy, and isn't sold on him even if he does. He also believes we're suspect at tailback. He does, however, point out that our last game is against GB who may have their seed locked up and rest their starters, which might put a wild card within reach for us that game.

I say 8-8. 10-6 and a wild card if - IF - everything goes absolutely flawlessly and we avoid any and all injury. I don't think 9-7 will cut it for a wild card. 6-10 if we end up with the Cannot Have Nice Things Curse again. You know which one I'm betting on.

I think we're looking at somewhere between 7-9 and 9-7. I also think we're a tailback short (Best needs help in today's league), and I don't like our O-line or cornerbacks. We're razor-thin at LB, too.

7-9. Until they prove otherwise, I figure they'll find a way to ensure that they're still our daddies' Lions.

Well, unless your daddy was around to remember much of the 50s.

8-8. If things go right, they could be a wild card team, but things don't go right for the Lions.

And I don't think that's going to be enough for a wild card, especially with Chicago lurking within the division. They could go 11-5 or 3-13, I have no idea.

Well, as long as it doesn't start out like we did in Atlanta a couple years ago, where 11 minutes into the season, we knew we were *ed.

Personally, I think the lions end up just outside of the playoffs. Ideally, somebody else has to lose the last game along with a lions win for them to get in. And honestly, I think I'll be happy with that. Of course, that is subject to change depending on how close they end up being.

I've placed my wager and taken the over......so 8 wins will mean money.
I feel a lot more confident this year. Needed 4 at the end of last season to cash in.

10 wins is my prediction..........including a victory over Tampa week 1.

Doing my best to not be actually optimistic. But these guys don't suck.

I was fearful of another 0-2 win season after going undefeated in the pre-season.

Not perfect, but not overly sucky, either. Good win.

I thought the Lions would be improved, but honestly thought that TB would be as well and didn't see it coming. Congrats.

After watching yesterday, I think they have the team to win 10 games- IF they would have gotten a schedule to match last season's record. It's absolutely brutal... so I'll stick with 8 wins. Too many mental mistakes and penalties.
