Without question Minnesota is rival #1 in the respect that they were our first major, big-time rivalry. But I've said it before and I'll say it again, at this point in time I'd rather beat DU than anyone else in hockey, and I dread the thought of losing to DU more than to any other team in hockey (with the possible exception of BC). I know I don't speak for all UND fans when I say this, but I no longer view MN as THE #1 rivalry. And I think momentum is going to continue to shift towards DU for the fan base as a whole as Minnesota and Wisconsin depart for a different league.
Substitute DU for MN in your post, and you still have a true statement.
