Denver @ RPI - 12/13/2013

Re: Denver @ RPI - 12/13/2013

Period ends with RPI up 1-0 but this one has been all Diebold. DU has had too many good chances. We remain the best first period team in the nation-but we have the dreaded second and third periods to come.

2nd has been DU's best period so far.

Denver is -1 in the first, overall (not including tonight)
They're +13 in the second, and even in the third. Apparently they like the long change.

EDIT: rpitv is awesome, is it always free?!?

Re: Denver @ RPI - 12/13/2013

I'm listening to the RPI audio and that guy's been better on pronunciations than Jay. On first reference he mispronounced Doremus, but then corrected himself from then on. The Miami guy is the worst I've heard in quite some time.

DU had the better of it for the last ten minutes or so.

We have a couple of teams that broadcast-they try to remain quite neutral in their descriptions. I have listened to lots of other broadcasts and many are far more biased. Of course my favorite on video is the Yale broadcaster.;)

Always free-and RPI is something like +23 in the first and negative in both the second and third periods

Been better on pronunciations than Jay? Talk about d/a/m/ning someone with faint praise... People for whom English is a second/third/fourth language have better pronunciation than Jay Stinky.

Re: Denver @ RPI - 12/13/2013

Did not seem terribly physical in the first period-officials had little to call. One penalty to each and special teams not making much of a difference so far.

Both penalties were very obvious, too. Saw a little ticky-tack stuff, but I'm guessing the weather is a little meh so they'll let them play.

Yes. They only broadcast home games however.

Re: Denver @ RPI - 12/13/2013

Seems like way too many empty primo seats on the far side. Friday nights? Non league opponent?

Re: Denver @ RPI - 12/13/2013

2nd has been DU's best period so far.

That scares me a bit-we have led in most every game after the first-only to give it all back and more in the second and late in the third. Hopefully tonight we can sustain the effort-this looks like a good DU team and a very good DU goalie

Add to that the weather in the east is a bit threatening. Jen and I were thinking of heading up for the game-was going to be a last minute thing-but we are expecting a storm by AM here and the trip home would have been a bit of trouble

I think Jay's better than the guy who did the sign language at the Mandela memorial service however.

That's great (the free-ness). I've cancelled my piovision subscription due to the cost and university politics, I only get to watch when they're on TV. Otherwise I listen on the radio...which makes me reminisce about high school.

Re: Denver @ RPI - 12/13/2013

This is the first time I've watched an RPI-TV video production. Kudos to the ladies and gentlemen involved in this effort. High quality picture resolution. Well done. Of course we're dealing with engineers and them peopleses am smart. ;)

For the regular season, yes. The league has a problem with the free stream in the playoffs and forces the quality killing B2.

F$k B2. They and fast hockey suck balls...unfortunately they've also helped increase exposure of college puck more than anything.

Re: Denver @ RPI - 12/13/2013

At 8PM i will have to settle for the small computer screen-the Mrs has found something to watch and I can get by here at the computer instead. Besides-it is the second period and i will be getting a bit depressed soon anyway.

It's East Coasters. They're convinced the world's flat and there's no intelligent lifeforms outside the Eastern time zone. Spiro Agnew's effete snobs kinda crowd. :D
