Not an especially physical game. Good goaltending on both ends. It was one I kept expecting DU to put away, but RPI and Yale, excuse me, Diebold hung in there. Good game. Deserved to have more in attendance.
Yes!!!!!
And how rare is that: an O.T. win for Denver!!!!!
Of course Jay screams that it is Romig's 1st goal when in fact it is his second
Monty was less-than admiring of Troy on his Tuesday radio show. I believe he referred to it as Troylet
CC and Badgers on NBCSN with Badgers leading 2-1 with 15 minutes left in 3rd, now 3-1 Badgers
At the last minute, my boys and I decided to head to Troy to take in the game. After the hour drive, we arrived with 15 minutes to spare and jumped into ticket line. I was soon approached by a gentlemen with three tickets in his out stretched hand - "Don't both getting in line; here"... When I offer him compensation, he just said "Have fun and cheer loudly for RPI". Yeah, we can do that! Checking the tickets, I see that they're in Section 15... The 50 yard line!! We slowly made our way to the seats picking up our chuck a puck, some Ben and Jerry's and stopping for the National Anthem from behind the glass. As we approached the section, I see the gentleman pointing out the location of the seats. My boys entered the row first and as they squeeze past, he hands each of them a black RPI Hockey T-Shirt! It felt more like Christmas then Friday the 13th! I shake his hand and thank him for his generosity... Between periods after I inquire if he's an alum, the gentleman says he's RPI's pastor - Father Ed Kacerguis. What a true gentleman in every sense of the word. He made an already fun night that much nicer for my boys and I. Thank you "Fred" - Merry Christmas and god bless!
