Denver at UNO Saturday 1/10/15

Re: Denver at UNO Saturday 1/10/15

With support for the Broncos at psychotic levels, it's hard to believe there was a time when Denver didn't support 'em that much. At one point, the Phipps brothers threatened to move the team if fan support didn't pick up. And this was in a much smaller stadium, of course. And those gawd awful vertical striped socks!

Custody of the Bronco season tickets was detailed in my divorce decree:eek: (My attorney thought I was too nice and should have insisted on joint custody)

11:02 left in 2nd. Still UNO 1-0. DU has closed the shot differential dramatically, but still no goals.

Uglies 6 gophers 3 5 min to go in 2nd --game must be tape delayed on tv
UMD 1 Sioux 3 7 min to go in 2nd

The most brutal conference I have ever seen this year.

Amen to this this. If you had told me that UNO was going to win tonight, 1-0, I'd have sworn that Thompson would not have been in goal and that Crossthwaite would be, which is what I expected. I was stunned when Thompson started.

That was the greatest performance by a UNO goaltender I have seen in a LONG time and easily the most unexpected.

Happy for Thompson, who, while skating off tonight and being named the first star, could not smile hard enough. Talk about a happy guy. He couldn't have hid it if he tried, and, cooler, still, was how honestly happy for him his teammates were.

Great, great scene at the final horn.

Good for him.
