Yeah, baby. Did you notice when DU finally went on the PP the first thing those idiots mentioned was how many shorties UNO has scored this year? Then, oh by the way, the DU PP is ranked 5th in the nation, a mere detail.

There have been 17 penalties so far in the RPI/Clarkson game. Which RPI is still winning. I think the score is 5-1

I don't know if anyone's been paying attention or cares, but those kids from the Orthodox Jewish academy in Houston won their semi-final game today and will play in the state championship game tomorrow night. It took a judge to make the private school association reschedule their game so they wouldn't have to forfeit for the Sabbath. Once in a while, things work out the right way.

It does seem a little silly that common sense couldn't have just prevailed in the first place.

Beren Academy beat the team that would have played in their place by 25. If you can reschedule Daytona, twice, how hard is it to move the Jewish kids to an earlier tip? Answer. Not hard at all.

I saw headlines but didn't read the articles. This came up in Denver a couple of years ago, and I just don't get why you wouldn't go with a reschedule in the first place. Any arguments for NOT moving it, in my mind, go straight out the window because they're kids.

The argument advanced by the association was "we told them when they joined, we wouldn't make any accomodations for the Sabbath." But the bureaucrats HAD made an accomodation for an Adventist school last year in soccer. These officials should WANT to let the kids play and be willing to do anything within reason to make that happen. Instead, these Barney Fifes hid behind the rules. Really pretty shameful, you ask me.
