Denver at UAA - Friday 12/10/10

Re: Denver at UAA - Friday 12/10/10

Nice come back like the PS said after an awful second (Gwoz said we were lolled to sleep). Will Sam get the start tomorrow night? Please say yes. He can put up the donut.

Based on what has transpired in the season so far, why wouldn't Sam get the start tomorrow? I think it was more of a surprise that Murray got the start tonight...

Re: Denver at UAA - Friday 12/10/10

BTW, who scheduled DU to play a home game on New Year's eve? Doesn't strike me as a winner.

Re: Denver at UAA - Friday 12/10/10

Pios played great in the late third. But we were out to lunch n the second. But I was impressed that DU could crank it up the third.

Hopefully, they didn't get the impression that there is a light switch to do that that actually works.

The thinking was he'd get one start this weekend in his home town.

Yeah, the 2nd period sucked arse...but does it really matter when DU cranks it up? Winning is the name of the game. AND WE WON...

That's more to my point. If DU was playing a 2 game series against, let's say Yale, Murray rides the pine. Great Britain is our guy and the Murray start was solely based on Murray being from Anchorage and the fact that UAA kinda sucks.

Re: Denver at UAA - Friday 12/10/10

Should be as about as packed as the Sullivan Arena was tonight.

LOL. Fair enough. But do you think DU will draw as many against a no name opponent on New Year's Eve as with the "nothing else to do in Anchorage sans booze and hockey" game we just witnessed?

Re: Denver at UAA - Friday 12/10/10

Murray also won the opener in Vermont this season and Sam got the tie the 2nd night. He then lost the 1st BC game and got hurt the following week in practice.

Re: Denver at UAA - Friday 12/10/10

Yeah. If I hurry, I can get to the Excalibur Sports here in Phoenix.

I heard the Alaskan Excalibur Santa has a late night show in Phoenix tonight, now grab yer Red Ryder and just be careful of the big blue pale...

Re: Denver at UAA - Friday 12/10/10

As of right now DU has scored the most goals in league play of all 12 schools with 45, 1 more than UND and UMD.

That's correct. I was there in Burlington and forgot it was Murray!

Amazing when you consider the firepower DU lost - Ruegsegger, Rakhshani, Colborne and Wiercioch.

Zucker and Drew Shore are rising superstars. Nice to see Knowlton get his 1st goal of the season. Looks like Gwoz and the DU team are dedicating the rest of the season to the Chief.
