The USCHO Fan Forum has migrated to a new plaform, xenForo. Most of the function of the forum should work in familiar ways.
Please note that you can switch between light and dark modes by clicking on the gear icon in the upper right of the main menu bar.
We are hoping that this new platform will prove to be faster and more reliable. Please feel free to explore its features.
Well, I had hoped for a better 2nd period than that. It tells me a few things. 1) It's hard to keep motivation to play at a top level when you have a 5-0 lead. 2) Sam and his defensement still have work to do with communication. 3) Sounded to me like the 3rd goal we gave up was due to a fat and juicy rebound given up by Sam.
The good thing is that we built such a huge lead that it gives Sam and the defense some time to figure things out. The bad is that we let UAA back in the game. The Ugly is that we let the feeble UAA offense score 3 in a row on us in the 2nd period.
Much better result on the on line feed tonight. Love their intermission programming: 42 straight commercials. But the one spot they haven't run is where the guy looking like Walter Huston in "Treasure of the Sierra Madre" samples the "cuisine" at some rundown hooker bar. Very classy.
Three things for Sam to remember from the last time he played:
1) WCHA players are fast and very skilled.
2) His pre-game routine and warm up that worked so well last season.
3) How important every win is in the WCHA.
Three things for Sam to forget:
1) His last big rebound given up
2) The last heckle from a fan.
3) Any excuse for not winning this game tonight.
