Denver at tUMD - Saturday 12/4/10

Re: Denver at tUMD - Saturday 12/4/10

Gwoz speak on the non-call at the end of the game.

Yeah, his tap shoes were going a mile a minute. And he was tapping furiously with his pre series analysis of UAA. What he wanted to say: "we should crush these guys like a beer can." What he said: "they're not considered an elite team in the WCHA (really, no sh*t) but we're hoping to come out with good focus and intensity, blah blah blah."

He is looking for a sweep. :D

Re: Denver at tUMD - Saturday 12/4/10

He is pregnant with celestial fire. No offense to UMD but this isn't a historic building and they are not one of the legendary hockey programs. It's not like they're closing Yost or Williams Arena or the first Englestad or some truly historic building. I just shudder to think what he'll be babbling about next week. Whatever it is, we'll have no chance to sidestep it. 'Course if it's on the UAA cable, we can look forward to those guys from the sporting goods store who look like the graduating class of Pedophile U.

So, for the second night in a row, you reveal yourself to be a gigantic c0cksmoker.

Just because your arena has nothing interesting or fun or exciting about it doesn't mean you need to rain on everyone's parade. Your color guy is not the only person outside of tUMD making a big deal of this. The Minneapolis Star Tribune took a sportswriter out of retirement to cover the game because he'd covered the first game at the DECC, too. Fans of many other teams have expressed their wish to be there and their fond memories of the arena and have said how much they'll miss it. I'm not surprised DU fans don't feel that way because none ever go to away games and you have an insular view of the college hockey world. 14ers and kscant are the only DU fans I've met at tDECC. Well, and Dan Vlaisavljevich (who was there tonight), but I met him at a Tech/tUMD game.

If you can't have an appreciation for an event like this you should probably not even bother with college hockey anymore. Sorry tUMD isn't considered one of the tiny number of programs you consider worth your time and our building isn't "truly historic," but it's not like anyone outside of Colorado gives a **** about DU, either.

Have it your way. the DECC is like the louvre, okay? What I was complaining about was the fact that our pbp guy was mentioning the closing of the building every three minutes, which to me seemed a bit much SINCE IT ISN'T OUR BUILDING. Now you can whine, and cry and insult all you want but the DECC is not one of the historic buildings in college hockey and UMD is not one of the historically elite programs. Facts are inconvenient things, aren't they Bunky?

So don't be so touchy about your preciouis DECC? "Appreciation for an event like this" means what, exactly? And why should anybody not a UMD fan or resident of Duluth feel the same way about this that you do? It's silly. But then. . . . . . .

As I said, I meant no offense to UMD, a program with which DU has had many battles over the years. And a program Murray Armstrong helped to get up and running.

It's Thursday, and you're just now getting around to this? Were you in a coma or something?

Don't be stupid. You meant plenty of disrespect to tUMD and to its program, players and fans. If you had even a modicum of respect you would have appreciated what the closing of the DECC meant and shut your ****ing trap.

I said what I meant and meant what I said.
