Yeah. It was fashionable to get the vapors over 5:00 Baker drum solos. To me, a 5:00 drum solo by anybody is about 4:30 too long.

Especially for a school that still has an outdated mascot in its locker room. By comparison LSU (whom I'm watching) had customized wall paper in the press box men's room.

I sent an email to Bowness about lack of sched for PioVision and got an automatic reply that he was on "hiatus"
Thought that was odd since he just started in the summer. Maybe the hockey SID is not really solved.

Speaking of LSU, every college football fan ought to see one game in Tiger Stadium. The loudest ambient noise I've ever heard (and it's much bigger now than when I was going to the games). As I walked up to the elevator for my first Tiger game, the attendant said "good evening, governor" to the well dressed guy just ahead of me. Turns out it was Jimmy Davis, former governor, ex-country singer, who wrote "You Are My Sunshine." Only in Louisiana.

At Tiger Stadium they sell set ups at the concession stands. You just never know when you're gonna need a cup of ice.

Actually, New Trier HS, whose graduates include Charlton Heston, Ann-Margaret, Bruce Dern and Rock Hudson, to name just a few, was using the single wing well into the 60's. Their fullback my senior year was Chuck Mercein, whom you may remember from Green Bay's victory in the "ice bowl." He was the first Illinois kid to put the shot over 60 feet. A real brute.
