Denver at North Dakota - Saturday 1/30/10

Re: Denver at North Dakota - Saturday 1/30/10

Love these North Dakota commercials. Between the "Men of Steel" logo for Grand Forks Steel and Welding, the upcoming $2,000 prize bowling tourney at Liberty Lanes, and the big ice fishing equipment sale at the Home of Economy, there is no end to the fun in Grand Forks.

I liked the older lady spinning her wire cutters and then cutting the cord of the noisy generator:p

Great interview with Genoway. Only the second academic all-american in the history of UND. Class act. I have a feeling UND's season was pretty well a finished when he went down early. Hope he can return next year...

With all that action I'm not sure why I ever left town. :D

Interesting interview with Genoway. He noted that he had previous concussions but nothing with the after effects like this. That is the problem with concussions is that the more you have the easier it is to get the next one. This one was obviously the result of dirty play. For someone with multiple conussions eventually what looks like a normal play or hit can lead to another one with worsening after effects each time. I hope he gets well and can return. Sounded like he was a bit iffy about red shirting.

I find it hilarious that the Sioux have ads for a restaurant called "Whitey's." :D

I'm not going there. I may be crazy, but I'm not stupid.

There seems to be a DU poster consensus that the Excaliber sports ads in Anchorage are really the best (got balls?). Those guys look like a sexual offender public service announcement.

and what about inbred Dingo and Dango spitting food on each other? This is like the Super Bowl, the sports action sucks but the ads are hilarious.

Nice play. You can't get much prettier than that.

2-0 UND.
