Democratic Challengers 2020 - 12: The End of the Beginning

Kamala Harris has a minority voters issue. She was a tough-on-crime and tough-on-drugs DA. She did things that don’t sit well with constituents in non-DA elections.

I doubt the minority voters who have voted for Biden in droves (and more than voted Clinton in 2016) will all of the sudden sit out the 2020 general election because Kamala is on Biden’s ticket. Is there evidence out there that a sizeable block of minority voters don’t actually like her? Clearly, there might be and I’m just missing it.

Gimme a break, the incessant name calling because someone holds (gasp! What?!?!) a different position than you is childish.

It has nothing to do with "holding a position", and insisting you have some grand principle to stubbornly stand upon - the result of which enables the most dangerous President this country as ever seen - is the epitome of childish behavior. I won't call you any names, but you can imagine them for me.

Progressive Marie Newman beat pro-life conservative Dem incumbent Dan Lipinski in Illinois' 3rd district. This is a good thing. We need people like Manchin in states like West Virginia. There is no reason for a guy like Lipinski in a seat Clinton won by 15 points.

This is exactly where progressives can and should make an impact. Big win and good for them.

Regarding the primary, Sanders has every right to stay in until Biden secures the majority of delegates, but I think his bargaining power goes down every time he loses a state 60%-30% or loses in a place that was thought to be a stronghold (WA, AZ) three weeks ago.

Exactly. He'll get nothing if he waits. That's why Amy and Pete dropped out early. Bargaining power and they understand politics.

yeah, we're not clicking on your crazy *** links

Nothing crazy about the tabulations of exit poll data compared to votes.

Take this with a grain of salt, In this case: Mass, Mich, Tx, SC, Cali exit polls showed Sanders votes as much as 10-15% higher than the actual vote totals and Biden’s exit numbers similarly different in that exit polls showed his totals to be significantly lower. If the exit poll differs from real vote totals by over 4% the U.N. Declares “.....”.

The point is unless people vote and then lie to pollsters 2 seconds later there are massive problems Sanders should (but won’t) address. And We The People should (but won’t) address.

I don't agree with this. Sanders now has a moral responsibility to end his campaign this week and do whatever he can to unite the party behind Biden.

Just another conspiracy...

Haven't exit polls been pretty garbage during the 2000's?

I'm still hearing "The DNC is suppressing voters" from Bernie Bot Twitter.

I just want to pat these people on the head and say "you're Mommy's special little child, aren't you?"

Twitter is not reality.

I wrote that he has every right to do so, not that its the best course of action. Try to force Sanders out against his will and his supporters will go berserk. If he needs to take a few weeks to figure out the best way forward to defeat The Chump we should give the dude his space. Small annoyance for larger payoff (unified party) at the end.
