Re: Democratic Challengers 10: If we stop fighting Nazis, the world will die.
On the contrary, I don't give a flying fig what you think. As if the people on this thread represent the electorate. As if we represent the Democratic Party electorate. It amuses me to see a bunch of middle-aged white men complain about "Bernie Bros" and wring their hands about the evils of Socialism.
Of course you dont give a flying fig...you are too busy fighting to save the Republic while us lazy folk are sitting in here discussing the issues. You certainly arent in here wringing your hands every time someone dares question the Sainthood of Bernard.
And no, the quote is not a bad one in and of itself. The point wasnt that though, it was how it will play in a State that is close. Not exactly a new thing, and despite what Kepler says it has zero to do with the media spinning the world against Bernie. This is an election, and every comment by every viable candidate gets ripped to shreds. The Cubans in Florida have already shown a propensity for flipping out every time anything is mentioned about it and the GOP is sure to cut the quote to make it seem like exactly what they are biased to think it says. Those are the types of errors candidates need to avoid. Need we go through the list of every candidate over the years and the small gaffes they may have made that blew up 10000 times larger than they needed to be? (most of them being Plute Loving so no conspiracy possible) Can we just accept that this isnt some Plute Conspiracy to keep the THE ONE TRUE GOD down and chalk it up to exactly what it is...the lame *** media doing what it always does because **** if it doesnt make them money.
(it is obvious who they want to win and they can eat a bag of dicks for that...but this isnt part of that this is just their usual game to pretend and matter)
Bernie is going to win this, if for no other reason than now no one else can barring a miracle revival. Bloomberg is so badly outmatched even his money cant save him. He wants to pull a Trump, but Trump was popular with people because of his TV show. No one has ever liked Bloomberg, and he represents everything everyone hates about rich politicians in New York. Him joining destroyed any shot the Centrists had to steal this thing because he is completely unlikeable. He can show pictures of him shaking hands with Obama all he wants for all the good it will do him...
But the Bernie people (not Bernie himself) need to tone down the rhetoric a bit. Not everything is some slap in the face of Bernie. Bernie is not the messiah come down to destroy the 1% and be the scourge of corporate interests. Not everyone is going to love him, not everyone will even like him a lot but you need everyone to vote for him. and before you jump out of your seats screaming I am not suggesting Bernie change any belief or policy he has, I am not saying he should pivot nor should his people. He should run the Dem-Socialist/Progressive campaign through and through. (go for Gold 100%) I am saying they need to be less abrasive. To win we need everyone, so open your arms and act like all are welcome. Just because not everyone is on the same page on some issues doesnt make them evil sellouts bent by corporate interests and duped by the Plutes, it just means they havent gotten there yet. We can get them there though, we can get them all where we are if we just stop acting like a bunch freshmen protesting on the quad.
Then, when we win, you drag them to the here and now. By the time you are done they wont even realize they changed at all.
