Demcratic Challengers 11: Saving the Republic one voter at a time!

Yep. I did vote for her a couple of hours ago.

I don’t regret my vote. Not going to sit here and think, gee who are all the others gonna prefer, I guess I gotta pick one of them.
Time for that later

Alabama to Biden, Maine, Massachusetts, Oklahoma, too early.

Re: Demcratic Challengers 11: Saving the Republic one voter at a time!

Waiting in line to vote. Huge turn-out in the metropolis of Bar Harbor, Maine. I stopped by 3 hours ago but had to be somewhere in half an hour so I couldn’t wait. Came back now hoping the after work rush had died down a bit. The line is only slightly shorter.

I get the impression Minnesota - and maybe just the burbs, who knows - does elections right. I’ve never had a line. Ever. Today was busy and there were eight cars in the lot at 5:15.

I think our ridiculously easy early voting helps

Warren and Bloomberg are going to guarantee a brokered convention...

It wasn’t that bad. The line moved pretty quickly. It took me about 20 minutes. The line for registration / enrolling in a party was moving a little slower.

Young woman before me was embarrassed that she was registered as a republican. She left her republican primary ballot blank and only filled out our state referendum ballot.

Warren will be gone by the Ides of March.

Yeah but it wont be fast enough. Her being in now is killing Bernie in Texas. (so far)

Bloomberg is having a very solid night. (gag me with a friggin spoon)

I just had to tell them what ballot I wanted. It’s great. Even my fiancée who had never voted in this precinct walked in and checked the box, voted, and deposited her ballot.

Paper trail with manual scantron ballots, fast lines, same day registration, early voting. There’s literally zero reason Minnesota’s model shouldn’t be adopted everywhere.

Maybe. It doesn’t hurt. But I’ve never had a line even before we had early voting. Like ever. I once had to stand at the door because someone was asking about which way to go and I couldn’t get around him.

Yeah ours was fast and easy. Of course we actually pay taxes in this state so...yeah.

On MSNBC they are at a polling place in Austin and the line is still huge! (people waiting 3 hours) Since all those peope's ages combined are less than Biden's I gotta think it is a good sign for Bernie. (and he needs one)

With her recent pivot to talking about how Bernie doesn't get things done at the same time the moderates drop and endorse Biden, it would not surprise me if she was staying in simply to take part of the progressive bloc from him.

Sure but in the last election my precinct had numbers on how many had voted early and it was staggering.

I’ve def had lines in the city on Election Day back before I wised up

You aren’t unique. We’ve had same day registration and early voting for decades.

I live in a small town of about 5000 people, many of whom are only here in the summer.

We tell someone our name and address, a volunteer looks up your registration information and you get the proper ballot. From the time I got to the front of the line to the time I dropped my paper ballot in the scanner was about 60 seconds.
