Murdered in his home this morning, reportedly a targeted hit. Others were apparently on the list, including Gov. Evers. Perp shot himself but apparently survived.

When you wake up tomorrow, promise to yourself that you will make the most of the day ahead of you, even if it's relaxing with a book, playing with the dog, or hanging out with friends or family.

I have a sick, sinking feeling we will be seeing more and more of this as the Right goes off the deep end.

Treasure life, but let's also start taking steps to protect ourselves and our society from these mad dogs.

John Roemer, circuit court judge, retired, at 68. i appeared before him probably 100 times or more. Don't know if I've ever met a kinder man or a fairer judge. He gave all before him respect, including those who allegedly committed terrible acts, until they robbed themselves of it. You all didn't know him, but you would like to have. Yeah. It's not good. I really hope in two hundred years they aren't saying the first shots were already fired

You make an important point: one can't treasure life and yet do nothing to protect it. But when the best lack all conviction . . . .

I was going to go with “killing Nazis.”

The Sequel is different. It won't be armies and it will take far longer than 4 or 5 years.

This is/will be more like The Troubles. Except at any given time the most violent elements of the IRA will have 45-55% of the leg.

We've always talked about a clean split but maybe enclaves, at least unofficial ones, are more likely. The Slave Confederacy in MS-AL. The Aryan Nation in ID-WY. The Christian Caliphate in NE-KS. Three botches of iron age anger, violence and poverty marring a modern nation.

For a while I was unwilling to give up the breadbasket. Cool thing is, we keep MN, WI, MI and they'll be the world's breadbasket in a decade or two

Am I correct in assuming he was a poster on here? I haven’t read the hockey side in years.

sounds like he was an amazing person. Way too young

Yes - one of the staunchest supporters of UAH of all time, through all of their ups and downs. He was easy to root for, and I always had a soft spot for the Chargers because of him.
