Not a surprise and probably a relief to him. Every second I outlive my wife will be a second too long. Sorry, but none of you are that interesting to hang around for once that light goes out.

73 years of marriage.
Look at how many folks together that long seem to pass away in a close timeline.

OK, call me morbid if you will, however, when I heard Barbara had passed, I predicted Bush 41 wouldn't see May 2018 on this earth.
No ill will in that; I'm just seeing a sick elderly man who just lost his life companion and best friend.

Look at the Cashes. I agree with you. Those lonnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnng term relationships, and one can't really function without the other. I actually worry about my parents at this point (married in '72).
