Dr. Christiaan Barnard performed the first human to human transplant in December 1967. Dr. Cooley transplanted the first artificial heart.

Phew. I remembered the name but it didn't seem right. Remember the artificial heart one too but not as vividly as the First transplant

Bad week for ex MLB pitchers

DEATH NOTICE -----MR. DAVE "BOO" FERRIS, 94 --- passed away today, Thanksgiving Day 2016. He was an outstanding pitcher for the Red Sox in the 1940s.

I remember listening to WOWO in the 1960s because they had a clear channel station which was easy to hear in NY. He must have been doing the broadcasts back then.

This would have been his 64th season with the Komets.
