Dartmouth @ RPI - Saturday, Feb 2nd

Re: Dartmouth @ RPI - Saturday, Feb 2nd

D's a good team. They earned a good tie w Union last night. But they got nothing from us.;) Ralph, when was the last time an RPI goalie had two consecutive shutouts?
North Trip next, with CCT and SLU playing better... another big weekend coming up!

Re: Dartmouth @ RPI - Saturday, Feb 2nd

Toronto Lakeshore - Dylan Carter (power play) (Alex D Oliveira, Michael Prapavessis) 14:02

Re: Dartmouth @ RPI - Saturday, Feb 2nd

a complete victory-well done. Nit picking-our power play needs a transfusion. But short of that we played like a team tonight. All 4 lines were going well and the defense covered well for each other. very few mistakes. Kasdorf shutout the weekedn and deserves rookie of the week, goalie of the week and perhaps more. Great win and now lets hit the road and go north .

Last back-to-back shutout? Nathan Marsters in 2004: Jan 17 at Cornell, Jan 24 vs Sacred Heart.

Last back-to-back shutout in the same weekend? Kevin Kurk in 2002: Oct 25th vs Iona, Oct 26th at Army.

Last back-to-back ECAC shutout? Joel Laing in 2000: Mar 3rd at Brown, Mar 4th at Harvard.

As far as I can tell, RPI has _never_ had a Home shutout weekend. RPI had two back-to-back home shutouts in 1964, but they weren't on the same weekend.

Why am I supposed to know that? :D I know the last time that we were shut out twice in a row. :D

Edit: See RHamilton's post. :D :D

Thanks, RH for the info. And thanks for the broadcast tonight. Very clear, very tasty.

Absolutley great broadcast by RPI TV. Felt like we were at the rink. Thanks to the entire team at RPI TV.

Thanks, I'm sure the crew appreciates the kind words.

I'm no directly longer involved with the production of the broadcasts. I still do a bit of graphics work, but only remotely. Now that I'm 'retired', I get the luxury of watching from the Pacific Northwest!

Ralph, we all look up to you.

Score update:
CCT 6 Cornell 3 very late in 3rd
SLU 3 Colgate 3 F/OT
Quinny 5 Yale 2 very late in 3rd

RPI: just keep on comin', the rest will take care of itself:cool:

Re: Dartmouth @ RPI - Saturday, Feb 2nd

That '64 back to back shutouts-perhaps was by Bill Sack?

RPI won four games by shutout in 1963-64, all of them credited to Sack.

Rube Bjorkman must have been a firm believer in establishing a number one goaltender and sticking with him. RPI's second string goalie, Dick Mikulec, played a grand total of six minutes and eighteen seconds that season.
