Miller and Kasdorf's play this year shows that stats in the USHL don't mean much when players go to college.
This is why some scouts get paid so much. And often they have to look at 14 year olds and predcit how they will look in the better leagues 5 years ahead of time.
On the CJ Lee short handed breakaway-why was that not called a tripping penalty on DC? The defenseman did not seem to get the puck-only the skates.
If you are referring to pro scouts, they don't have to decide until they are 18.
If you are talking about college scouts, there are none, just the coaches. At least there are not supposed to be any scouts for colleges.
I was going to post the same thing, but then Kurt said that after watching the replay it didn't look like a real trip. To me it almost looked like a penalty shot should be called had he missed -- but I am biased.![]()
I said that I am biased.I would not have expected a penalty shot since CJ did not have a clear path to the goal-but that was a trip to my eyes.
As of 8:55, here's some scores:
Brown 5 Princeton 1 F
Quinny 4 Yale 2 v late in 3rd
Clarkson 5 Cornell 3 3rd
SLU 3 Colgate 2 3rd
I don;t think were geting much help with these scores, but the big thing is our continued consistent play. We need to add points, the rest wil take care of itself.
