Appears St Kate/St Thomas ended in a 1-1 tie most likely giving Gustavus the MIAC title
Regardless...
what a year and what a turnaround for St. Kate!
They have been a great story to watch and see this year. Here's hoping they keep it up in the final two regular season games and then make a good showing in the MIAC tourney.
3-1 RIT in Buffalo going into 3rd. RIT ran Buff goalie, scrum on ice. Misconducts coming.
I seem to have lost my link to the rink.
What game were you watching?
At the end of the 2nd #27 on Buff St. ran the RIT goalie. RIT's Mazzetta got to her first. Scrum happened. #25 on Buff St. dropped her gloves and jumped into the pile. She got 2min. 27-McMullan and 14-Mazzetta both got 12min.
2nd game in a row McMullan ran the RIT goalie. Torgerson left the first game and is currently in a neck brace with a serious concussion.
Can't wait for these teams to hook up next year.

Southern Maine 2-0 over UMass--Boston (conquerer of Lake Forest!).
So what, you say? Little notice taken of these two middle of the pack teams, but both have picked up some very, very decent goalies. LF saw freshman UMB and former Polar Bear goalie Leah Hallett stop 43 of their 44 shots in the UMB 3 to 1 upset of Lake Forest. Southern Maine improved significantly over Christmas with peripatetic freshman goalie Kim Flanders wasting no time transferring to Southern from Manhattanville where she got almost no playing time. She did just lose to her old team 3 to 0, but no shame in that -- outshot 37 to 12. A couple of Southern's recent "bad" losses were without Flanders in goal. Kimmy "Free Agent" Flanders played for Assabet Red before changing to the Conn. Stars club team (both very long commutes) and taking them to the Nationals, and had played for an out-of-town public school boys team before repeating a year and going to Hotchkiss prep. If she gets some support, she can take Southern a long way (or, alternatively, transfer again next year!).
http://www.ecacsports.com/dIII_hockey/womens_east/2009-10/releases/2010_tournamentSouthern Maine sophomore Kimmy Flanders (Monson, Mass./Manhattanville College) leads the league with a .949 save percentage.
RIT will have a line up starting with Potsdam and Cortland before they can settle anything with Buf State. Checking the number and type of penalties in RIT's meetings with Cortland and Potsdam, RIT has developed a knack for these types of games. I'm sure these teams can't wait to play RIT next season as well.
Anyone have an update or final on the Neumann/Potsdam game?
Congrats to Potsdam for a big win to make the playoffs!
First I would like to congratulate Potsdam well done ladies!
As far as goaltending you would think you have to go with the one who is playing the best at this time.
I have been advised that tonights tilt between Potsdam & Nuemann has been canceled due to the fact that there are no playoff or standings implications, Both teams have gone home.
Figured. But you would think Neumann would want to play in an attempt to find their pride somewhere on the MAC ice
Odds are against them..I don't know if they have ever won there...
might as well try there, nowhere else is exactly lighting a spark under them
