Ohio State defeated Niagara earlier tonight in a shootout, 2-1. The game ended in regulation tied 1-1. Neither team scored in OT. Natalie Spooner scored Ohio State's only goal in regulation. Hokey Langan and Natalie Spooner scored goals in the shootout. OSU goalie Chelsea Knapp stopped both shots she faced in the shootout.

For any that don't know, that means that the teams tied 1-1, because the shootouts in a non conference game are just for practice.

Re: D1 Scores and Highlights

From 2 goals down, UNH fights back for the 3-3 tie!
Minton gets the decision -- or lack thereof as it was a tie -- in relief. Has she been healthy? I've wondered why after having a good year last season she hasn't been given more of a shot to date this time.

Re: D1 Scores and Highlights

ARM, I think that McCloskey is simply going with the future players....when Lindsay played this year she wasn't sharp so B-Mac played the freshmen, but every team needs role players and today she was HUGE.....whereas Gilligan was sharp early on, she seems to be fighting the puck recently but then again the young D does happen to be fairly porous and never help whomever is in net....I think I would go with her again tomorrow.....stay with the hot hand....BTW, thanks bumbles!

Big Red goes down this afternoon 5-2 to the Lakers.

The Bram sisters played pesky hockey all over the ice, but Mercyhurst's top player may very well be Steadman. She's a very powerful two-way player.

This weekend wasn't Cornell's best hockey, but don't take away anything from MC. Their girls worked very hard. The Big Red had to work hard for the split. Should be an interesting rematch in Ithaca.

Re: D1 Scores and Highlights

UMD leads St. Cloud 6-0 with 12 minutes remaining in the second period. Shots on goal are UMD 23, St. Cloud 3 (I'm not going to bother updating the game.)

Re: D1 Scores and Highlights

Okay, maybe one more update. After two periods, UMD leads St. Cloud 10-1. Shots on goal are UMD 32, St. Cloud 8. Jenna McParland has a hat trick already, Cournoyer's got two goals and the rest go to Wong, Irwin, Thibault, Winberg and Gillanders. So far.

UND wins 3-0 as MLK and JLam both have ENG's and Sioux get the split with the gophers!
I would say our goalie and defense played great compared to yesterday.

Re: D1 Scores and Highlights

Final score UMD 10-2 over St. Cloud. And the game wasn't as close as the score might suggest.
