D1 Commitments 2011-2012

Re: D1 Commitments 2011-2012

Definitely. I guess she wanted to stay close to home. Good thing for Vermont. They need some big pickups.

Well, the snowball is building...

Well, the snowball is building...
....Momentum.

Looks like it rolled down the East side of Mt Mansfield and picked up some loot at the lodge on Mountain Road on the way down.

Nice pickup for Friars. Her Dad Don was a captian at Minnesota and has been very active in helping girls hockey in MN with MN Hockey and also in the summer with the MN IceCats.

Re: D1 Commitments 2011-2012

Just an observation. But are there a lot more forwards then D being recruited or is just the normal recruitemnt trend? Get the best scorers first and then fill in your D.
Any thoughts ?

Last year it was the other way around--a high proportion of the early recruits were D rather than forwards.

Re: D1 Commitments 2011-2012

Hmmmm, will there be a run on goalies next year? ;)

Actually, looking at your latest update of the 24 players committed (about the size of a standard hockey roster), 5 of them are goalies, so I'd say the run on goalies has already started.
