D-III All-Americans Watch

Re: D-III All-Americans Watch

So I come back this afternoon and read nothing of any substance at all, and more re-hashing of crap from 3-4 years ago. About what I expected. A family of alumni made a large donation to their alma mater. Wow. What a concept. And those seniors? They'll walk out of Adrian College in less than 2 months with their degrees. Will wonders ever cease? *shakes head*

Fogal may get 2nd team West honors, and while Skelly and Miller have a shot at joining him, I suspect that their decline in production will get in the way.

And the thread is (hopefully) back on track!

Re: D-III All-Americans Watch

Or a very large school that has played hockey for 80+ years (read: Michigan, Minnesota, MSU, etc.), in which case you will scratch a significant check for season tickets (speaking from experience with regards to the latter).

Jordan Keizer (MSOE) should get a look from the West. I still think he should have been MCHA player of the year.

Another player who should at least get some consideration is Branden Gay, 1st Team NCHA, 34 points

I hear the CCHA will be looking for teams in the coming years. I wonder who could fill the place of those two Michigan teams leaving? The saga continues....
Gawd!!! The days of the D-III play-ups are over!! Read the other threads!!

My sincerest apologies for diverting this thread.

Prez,

In all your predictions, you've never had Greg Eskedjian on your list. Is there a reason why? In my opinion, he's the best D-man Norwich has had in a few years. He moves the puck extremely well, has the speed to get back in position after rushes, has put up great numbers (24 assists), and he's helped lead his team to the final four. I personally think he is a lock for AA, and I just wanted to know why you didn't?

Re: D-III All-Americans Watch

Was thinking about something last night...

Anyone have a guess at who gets POTY? I don't really see a single, or couple, clear frontrunner(s) this year. Shearer-Hardy's season is pretty close statistically to what Amherst's Jeff Landers posted in 08-09 when he received POTY, but I have no clue if he's the type of impact guy Landers was. Any chance we see another d-man get it (which would please me most highly)?

Honestly can't even figure out who I'd pick were I forced to...

Shearer-Hardy, IMO, is too much of a rover to be considered for it. There are some shifts where he is barely even in the defensive zone. He often switches with forwards and stays up there for ages.

I'd go with B.J. O'Brien. I'll admit that I haven't seen him play live, but it's hard to deny a goalie on the #1 team when there is no clear favorite otherwise.

as for hardy only watched 2 games of his against Neumann and Oswego, not to impressed, and the penalty he took against Oz at the end of the game was real bad and cost his team any chance they had at the end of the game.......NOT AA or POTY work......
