Re: Creative Personalized Insults
I observed an interesting interchange the other day.
One person was pontificating in a blustering way, and the other person appeared to be surprisingly patient with the first. He'd ask a few questions, listen to the answers, ask a few more questions....
However, the blustery one was not logically coherent, he was blathering on based on his "convictions" (one might just as easily use the word "prejudices", I suppose), and as the second one kept asking polite, gentle questions, the first became increasingly agitated as his own words began to come back to him in ways he did not expect, and after awhile he was tied up in verbal knots and had no idea of how to respond.
Finally, in frustration, he blurted out, "are you trying to make me look stupid?"
And in a friendly, genial voice, the second replied, "not at all, you're doing that all on your own."
I thought about including the initial(s) of either of the two frequent posters in the forum to which this would apply and then decided against it.
