Creative Personalized Insults

Re: Creative Personalized Insults

I observed an interesting interchange the other day.

One person was pontificating in a blustering way, and the other person appeared to be surprisingly patient with the first. He'd ask a few questions, listen to the answers, ask a few more questions....

However, the blustery one was not logically coherent, he was blathering on based on his "convictions" (one might just as easily use the word "prejudices", I suppose), and as the second one kept asking polite, gentle questions, the first became increasingly agitated as his own words began to come back to him in ways he did not expect, and after awhile he was tied up in verbal knots and had no idea of how to respond.

Finally, in frustration, he blurted out, "are you trying to make me look stupid?"

And in a friendly, genial voice, the second replied, "not at all, you're doing that all on your own."

I thought about including the initial(s) of either of the two frequent posters in the forum to which this would apply and then decided against it.

Christ, FF. Things like the Churchill put down are great personalized insults. The rest of these political stupidities are just beating your favorite dead horse. They aren't witty, they're just bludgeoning. We know all about your political convictions. Good for you. Please honor your own thread and post actual witticisms, not just the latest dreck dredged from Drudge.

It's healthy that you have stopped pretending to be anything other than Old Pio's sidekick.

So, Old Pio, at first I wasn't sure if you should be offended while I am flattered, or the converse....then I realized that this is typical Obamanatron tactics, when you are losing the argument, change the subject.

Ok, so you're complaining about a thread about creative personal insults going off topic are you?? What are you, a Moran??? ;):p

Re: Creative Personalized Insults

This is a pretty good one, using the person's own words!

Great Orators of the Democratic Party:
■"One man with courage makes a majority."--attributed to Andrew Jackson
■"The only thing we have to fear is fear itself."--Franklin D. Roosevelt
■"The buck stops here."--Harry S. Truman
■"Ask not what your country can do for you; ask what you can do for your country."--John F. Kennedy
■"I think the next act will be dragging women out of patient rooms into the streets and screaming over their bodies as they get dragged out of getting access to women's health care. That's what I feel like is occurring today with the legislation that is on the floor. . . . First of all, there is bipartisan and unilateral and unanimous support that we should not have agenda-based abortions for the sake of getting one gender over another. That's a human, humane and humanitarian issue that none of us quarrel with."--Rep. Sheila Jackson Lee (Texas)
