Just think of how much more we could do if we hand't spent $8 billion defending ourselves from the pretend threat from a handful of Honduran migrants, or given away trillions to the rich on the 2017 tax bill.

Who knew that the projected continual 3.8% growth rate to pay for the bill was not realistic?

Corporate tax receipts are down 23% since fiscal 2017. The Congressional Budget Office projected the GOP tax cuts will widen the deficit by $1.9 trillion over a decade.

Most economists also don't believe that reaching and keeping growth at 3% is feasible in the immediate future. The CBO recently projected that GDP growth would slow through the next decade to just under 2%.

CDC and Government’s: “we need everyone to use social distancing to prevent the spread especially to those who are vulnerable. Please no unnecessary shopping, traveling, or gathering.
Every millennial this weekend: “Quarantine party at my house!”

I have a friend who’s stressed as she works at nursing homes wherd everyone’s stressed. I told her do not go even though I know she could use an unwind.
Imagine being the one bringing the virus to a nursing home that then kills off 30% of the residents...

I think to many of us, watching NCAA’s get cancelled is the biggest sacrifice to make. I have no pity on people who can’t stand the thought of not going out on their weekend. Unfortunately, it doesn’t take a social scientist to know there’s a huge rift between millennials and older generations “boomers” politically and socially. I don’t know if this is denial/negligence, or about to be generational biological warfare

We are in a full blown public health crisis, but don't worry Trump has got this. The virus will not fold on the face of bullying, horse trading, or any other standard tactics used by Trump. The virus has exposed him for what he is, a clown who is just not up to the task. Some responsible people have taken this out of his hands and are taking sensible public health measures. This is likely to get a lot worse before it gets better, the next two to three weeks are going to be bad, however everyone is a socialist in a pandemic and aid etc will be made available. I am sure Mulvaney would like to bury the clip of him telling everyone at CPAC that this was a left wing media conspiracy to bring down the Administration.

I think you’re being very optimistic. Those who defend them will continue to do so. Even if their parents/grandma/sister succumbs to the virus, they’ll find a way to tie it in as an attack made my China in retaliation to all Trump’s winning.
