Not Pictured: IA, SD, ND, MO, KS, NE
Oddly included: KY

Apparently I have no idea what the Midwest means.

Edit: Edit 2, nm.

This rush to join little groups of like-minded states for re-opening is vaguely reminiscent of the scrambling around to join a hockey conference that we went through awhile back. No one wants to be left without a partner when the music stops, apparently.

Isn't that why we formed a 'United States' in the first place?

Sad seeing the extent we have fallen to, given the lack response to this pandemic from the federal government, that now has the individual states forming their own little 'united states' in order to do what the federal government won't do. What the federal government is supposed to do

Is there a Barry Alvarez of this group?

So we are at 34,000 deaths. We would have prevented 90% of the deaths with earlier action. And Dump prevented earlier action because of his entirely forseeable stupidity and narcissism. And Republican voters knew he had those qualities but still voted for him to have their little pout.

So Republican voters have killed about 30,000 Americans so far. To have their little pout.

Just wanted to watch it all burn.

Well, it's burning.

We’re going to kill a lot more soon. Death cult knows he can’t win re-election if the economy isn’t hopping.

Re: COVID-19 The 7th Part: We're Gonna Be Number One Soon!

Finally, and this is the part that always gets glossed over by everyone. They are a food processing industry. That means they would have been classified as an essential industry. Even if the Governor had done what everyone says she should have done, the Smithfield plant would have continued to operate.

Essential, yes, and continue to operate, yes. But had the rest of the state been SIP like other states, the odds of the plant having that big of an outbreak is considerably lower- like other food processing plants around the country. So between Smithfield and the governor, we now have plants that are closed. Yay.

Re: COVID-19 The 7th Part: We're Gonna Be Number One Soon!

Yeah, let's open the economy when we still have inadequate testing. What a ****ing clown show.

Re: COVID-19 The 7th Part: We're Gonna Be Number One Soon!

We have lost 34k people in less than a month (that we know of) and these people are acting like it is no big deal. Pro Life to a T I tell ya...

Ding ding ding. That’s not hard to understand. Those people were mingling out in places with everyone else because things weren’t shut down

Re: COVID-19 The 7th Part: We're Gonna Be Number One Soon!

Article on the positive test rate in the US, and how it's worse than any other developed nation outside of the UK, and what that means: LINK

TL;DR version: Not good news. We're going to need one of these clinical studies to come up gold in the near future or things are going to get uglier, even discounting the possibility of horrendous decisions regarding re-opening.

Re: COVID-19 The 7th Part: We're Gonna Be Number One Soon!

We have 1/3 of all the cases in the world. And 1/4 of all the deaths.

Of the entire world.

Re: COVID-19 The 7th Part: We're Gonna Be Number One Soon!

more and more evidence coming out that the virus was from the wuhan institute of virology. If it turns out that this has caused a worldwide depression, where are you commies going to come down on this?

yawn!!!

Nonsense. Compare North and South Dakota. Single digit deaths in each. Total hospitalizations that number 40 or 50. Yet SD has something like triple the number of cases, and is currently the hotspot baby of panic media. That is 100% the result of aggressive testing by Smithfield. If they hadn’t done that South Dakota would be as ignored as North Dakota.

That's funny. According to official numbers, North Dakota has out-tested South Dakota. Deaths and hospitalizations are lagging indicators.

EDIT: Oh, and it's spreading in North Dakota too: LINK
