Re: COVID-19 The 7th Part: We're Gonna Be Number One Soon!

Nationally (everyone polled combined), only 37% of all Americans trust what our President of the United States has to say regarding Coronavirus.

Among Republicans?

They trust him more than they trust the CDC.

Good. Keep listening to him. Do what he says.

You’ll be fine. Unless there is further clarification stories are trying to sort through, Meijer had a grand total of 2.5 aisles blocked off, and two of those were seasonal for patio furniture.

Just got back from my Sh*tty Acres and except for the garden center they haven't blocked anything off yet.

Proof that Republican voters are not tactically using a blunt force instrument to achieve their policy preferences. They actually believe him.

These are the dumbest kids in the class, and they have the White House, Senate, and courts.

We need to drive them back into their playpens.

Re: COVID-19 The 7th Part: We're Gonna Be Number One Soon!

Your current Butchers Bill:

20k new confirmed cases
1300 deaths

(usual caveat that plenty of states have yet to report)

Pennsylvania has 1400 new cases

Re: COVID-19 The 7th Part: We're Gonna Be Number One Soon!

Michigan with over 200 deaths today. Largest single day total so far.

That hasnt been added to Worldometer yet...

But hey we got this under control! We are a mere 3 weeks away from opening back up!!

Passed 100k dead WW. The US accounts for 20% of that...leaving out Jhina we are #1!!

Costco continues to impress me. Entrance doors were closed off with the cart storage area being the only entrance. From there there were marked six-foot spaces for potential lines that looked to go back 100+ yards, basically to the very end of the building. Someone would hand you a cart and have you wait until the person in front made it into the store before going.

Cashiers had the sneeze guards so some were only wearing gloves, but every other employee had facemasks and gloves. Since the produce fridge is a smaller section they made it one way traffic with six foot spaces and someone out front directing traffic.

Meanwhile Meijer barely had anyone with PPE and looks to basically have the same protocols as a month ago when this first started. Not to mention their aisles are so narrow it's impossible to be six feet away if someone else is in the same aisle.

Re: COVID-19 The 7th Part: We're Gonna Be Number One Soon!

I see we have massive profiteering going on.

3M has sued a medical supply company for allegedly trying to sell its coronavirus-blocking N95 respirator mask for 500 to 600% more than the list price.

The masks are among the most coveted kind of personal protective equipment for health workers treating victims in the COVID-19 pandemic.

3M charged that Performance Supply LLC, a company based in New Jersey, falsely claimed a business affiliation with the Minnesota-based multinational corporation that is a global leader in respirator production.

The suit in federal district court in New York City alleges that Performance Supply tried to sell New York City $45 million worth of respirators. 3M has asked the court to order Performance Supply to stop its illegal activity.

Capitalism and Health Care are such a fine match. Like peas and carrots.

Someone please tell the ****ing ******** that testing makes the enemy visible. It's a very simple equation. Even a child can understand it.

A couple conservative friends of mine are raging at Whitmer, but I think they know Republicans in this state aren't really going to do anything.

Re: COVID-19 The 7th Part: We're Gonna Be Number One Soon!

So according to the Surgeon General, the reason minorities are disproportionately affected by COVID-19 is drug and alcohol use?

Re: COVID-19 The 7th Part: We're Gonna Be Number One Soon!

Caveat: More states still to report

The newest numbers:

27k new cases
1740 deaths

Mass added 2k new cases
Illinois and Penn 1400 new cases
Michigan almost 1300
