It's quite apparent (well, for me) that implementing social distancing is THE reason that the numbers have defied the models of 100k to 200k dead (but we could still go there; this ain't over yet). It surely isn't due to 'all that testing' the President claims is out there. Pretty much the message is "it's all what the governors are going to do now" "we don't do testing" (what happened to all the drive up testing in parking lots, etc????) Cuomo's message: we did this ourselves. Thank God for the message from SCIENCE because the message from the FEDS has been all over the place.

Funny how the President couldn't be more thankful to Chinese President XI in his January tweets...those are on record. He's just looking for a scape goat as he "pulls out" of it all (haha health teacher term...get it??? ) "I take no responsibility at all" comes FULL CIRCLE...Deflect and blame deflect and blame....yeah, that worked. Just read a tweet "a weak person blames others" which is Trumps playbook from Day 1 of anything he's ever done. Obviously this has worked for him in all his slimy business 'deals' but this one? Not a good look...people losing money over 'Trump University' etc is one thing...LIVES are another.

I do not yet have an opinion on the WHO funding thing; need to do more work on that. Most likely I'm agreeing that they were/are deferential to China, but good grief it's the middle of a PANDEMIC Mr. "President"...not sure I'm on board with that....

This teacher of 40 years gives the government an F- on their response and that will not change...no matter who they defund...

Hey Chuck, I see you're still avoiding answering my questions/points/issues I've posed over the last 10 days. You literally haven't responded to a single one, other than the point involving Hillary's deplorables comment -- of course, the one point you could definitively prove I was wrong about. Seriously Chuck. what are you afraid of? You lament the "loss" of people you could discuss/debate politics with in a bar and have that conversation "stay in the bar" when you are done. Tough to know whether I'm one of those people or not if you won't legitimately engage me in a discussion/debate.

To the specific point of your post regarding your perception regarding China, I'll write this just like Trump would -- NO ONE IS SAYING
THAT CHINA HANDLED THEMSELVES PERFECTLY!! REGARDLESS OF HOW TRANSPARENT THEY WERE OR NOT, WHAT DOES THAT HAVE TO DO WITH HOW BADLY TRUMP AND HIS ADMINISTRATION DROPPED THE BALL CONSIDERING HE/THEY WERE FIRST INFORMED ABOUT HOW BAD IT MIGHT GET IN EARLY JANUARY?!?!

e.cat...Oh, he's definitely a xenophobe. Not in regards to his closing off travel from China in regards to Covid-19 but, in regards to his policies at the southern border. By the way, despite the Idiot-in-Chief's patting himself on the back regarding his decision to cut off travel from China at the end of January that he touts as having made such a difference in slowing the virus, approximately 40,000 plus people traveled into the U.S. from China immediately following his supposedly shutting off travel from there.
