You might want to read a bit more...

Jeezuz. EI read the following thread so the question remains.:

What exactly has NY done to shut s**t down?

Re: Covfefe-19: We're all getting $5/hour more in hazard pay!

Ny has been on shelter in place for days- no one in the us is under official military quarantine yet.

I believe ny was first after CA for full SIP

But people are still allowed to travel basically anywhere they want in/out of the state, between cities and counties regardless of the reason? How about public transit?

Re: Covfefe-19: We're all getting $5/hour more in hazard pay!

Well there’s the dilemma. Police aren’t enforcing but much is closed.
I believe subway is running, which is enraging people. But it’s also how a lot of hospital workers get to work.

Everything they can short of literally locking everyone in their homes. Christ they have had a stay at home order since the 20th and all non-essential workers are to be at home. (Shelter in Place) That is a week faster than Walz did it...

Sorry dude but throwing blame on Cuomo because Trump is threatening to force a quarantine (funny he wont do that in Florida...I wonder why) is pretty weak sauce. What do you think he should have done that he hasnt? And please provide some evidence besides something Donald *** Trump said ok thanks.

Re: Covfefe-19: We're all getting $5/hour more in hazard pay!

He is now also backtracking on helping to build temporary hospitals in Michigan.

Sociopathy: the other Republican meat (besides greed).

If the world were sane, Dump would lose Michigan by 70 points. But, his approval continues to rise. Draw your own conclusions.
THis truly reminds me of telling people they will die of [x condition] if they do not change their behaviour when they are having a symptom that should scare the sh1t out of them. They look at you like you are crazy because you are telling them they can't do what they want. Some of them literally do the thing as they are dying. You can't cure that. Nature does.

You talking about his anus or his mouth? Teeth aside, they have the same pucker and the same stuff is passing through both of them. Same flaccid cheeks even.
Another creative post that my brain didn't need to imagine. Blech.

He wants to pull the trigger on that because they can own the libs, he can give the gun lovers a shot of testosterone with images of armed people blocking the way. Only a matter of time where he is desperate enough to try it. Only it will be hard to sell when the nasty libs start replaying Cuomo calling him out for lack of supplies

If you shut down public transit you shut down a lot of workers from getting to the hospitals. That just isnt possible.

What you are talking about is just not possible. There is no way to quarantine everyone in Minnesota let alone New York State short of military intervention. (and imagine trying in LA which is why the mayor is basically saying they are in trouble) Sorry I dont want the US military walking through cities forcing people inside with guns and if Cuomo did that he would be the soon to be ex Governor of New York. (imagine Upstate NY and how they would reac tlet alone NYC) Hell even Trump didnt have the balls to actually do it because it would result in riots. You are talking about millions of people in a rather large space there is no way to close off that border. It is as unrealistic as closing off the border to Mexico 100%...it just isnt feasible.

Yeah I remember that...everything that was predicted by us "Fear Mongers" has come to pass.

*** are you rambling about? I haven't blamed Cuomo for anything per se, I'm asking why he's getting some huge pass for his own decision making. ffs we went on "shelter at home" here well before NY and with far more serious restrictions.

There is no public transport of any kind, and you are not permitted to pass from one city to another without a pass which validates either essential work, medical treatment, etc. Banning public transport in NYC probably wouldn't work, but then limit it to employees of essential business in which they carry a state approved pass that allows them travel. I have one of those which allows me to travel into my office (deemed essential by the government) when I go through 2 checkpoints between my house and there. Luckily I work from home 4/5 days per week but on that 1 day I go in there is an easy process which allows it to happen. This isn't rocket science.

The Feds and Province Governors have both issued official government releases that easily spell out what is or is not essential and after more than 2 weeks I've not heard of anyone having any issue with the process. I can get to grocery stores within my "zone", my bank, gas station, pharmacies, at least 2 hospitals off the top of my head, etc. I cannot however get to our version of Costco which is just outside my zone. I could not travel to Subic to go to the beach, I cannot travel to Manila unless I have a plane ticket or if I had say a hospital order mandating some type of treatment there.

Whereas in NY it seems they are allowing anyone and everyone to travel wherever they want, city to city, county to county, in and out of the state. If I a reading that correctly that has to stop if they want real containment.

Re: Covfefe-19: We're all getting $5/hour more in hazard pay!

Yeesh another 140 deaths added to the US total in the past 2 hours according to Johns Hopkins...

Cali at 5500 cases and climbing. NJ at over 11k and rising and NY over 55k. Mass is about to pass Washington State...

You are in another friggin country. Talk about apples to oranges. What your country can and is willing to do and what States and the Federal Government here can and are willing to do are not the same.

Cuomo is "getting a pass" because he is doing what he can in the situation as it presents itself. He cant just shut down NYC (let alone the whole state) to all travel, and he doesnt have the police force to stop all the people anyways. Not one governor could pull that off...hell Walz cant in a much smaller state with much less people. You expect Cuomo to declare Martial Law? Because short of that he cant do what you seem to think he should be doing. And if he shuts down public transportation than all business, essential or not, will likely shut down and hospitals will struggle. That isnt something the system can handle at this point in time.
