I mean they looked about as decrepit as price Philip but ***

they didn’t look like great candidates to fight this off despite being not afraid

Yet, here they are kicking after an entire year of the, once in 15 year plague that we experienced last Spring. Sounds Scary. Or as Covid Wedding guy said above, Dangerous.

Of course in reality, it is neither.

People actually listen to this Buffoon to be informed?

The WH’s Covid adviser,
@aslavitt46, is asked why Calif., still in lockdown mode, has numbers that aren’t better than a free state, Florida. Slavitt: “There’s so much of this virus … that’s just a little beyond our explanation”

What a complete moron. I would assume that people that buy into non-sense like this Charlatan is spewing, it has to be demeaning to suspend all critical thinking, reason and common sense.

NEW overnight: The Pfizer vaccine was found to be 85% effective 15-28 days after the *first dose* in preventing symptomatic disease. The study out of Israel also found a 75% reduction in symptomatic and asymptomatic infection after the first dose.

Pfizer Vaccine Is Highly Effective After One Dose and Can Be Stored in Normal Freezers, Data Shows
The vaccine generates robust immunity after one dose and can be stored in ordinary freezers instead of at ultracold temperatures, according to new research and data released by the companies.

In who?

So my otherwise uber-healthy, athletic, 18-year-old second cousin just got out of an intensive round of testing at Johns Hopkins. She's had some undiagnosed neurological disorder for nearly a year, and has been wheelchair-bound since May. Their diagnosis is that she's one of these:

COVID-19 and POTS: Is There a Link? | Johns Hopkins Medicine

Just like the flu, right?

The good news is that they do believe she will be able to walk again some day with proper PT and OT.

Keep the masks on, folks!

A flimsy cloth mask prevents respiratory viruses, and we didn’t discover this until 51 years after we put a man on the moon. Amazing.

I, for one, appreciate the new "two mask" guidelines! Because it means that when I don't wear a stupid and pointless face diaper, and someone else wears two, I can say that, averaged out, we are wearing one mask per person, so we should be good!

Think of it like a Carbon Credit.

Thank you, You Extra Virtue Signaler - Double Masker.

I signed up for the vaccine whateverlist for Minnesota. Odd that obesity was a preexisting condition but asthma and other respiratory diseases weren’t. :-/

When I get a cold, I’m basically tethered to my inhaler like a feed bag after the first three days.

Wait, what? I've read that asthma is a huge red flag combined with COVID.

Cigarette smokers are ahead of you if you live in Maine

I’m sorry I chose to be an asthmatic in the womb.

It’s unfortunate, but I didn’t expect to see a classification by what someone has from birth vs what they’ve brought on themselves with behavior. Obesity drives a lot of conditions that put people at risk.
I don’t know this data offhand but I’m wondering if some of those other conditions (yes, including may that may come from bad habits) are a higher risk for covid complications that respiratory illnesses. Personally I would have thought respiratory illnesses would be high up on the list

I don’t disagree with that.

Im just angry that orbidly obese smokers who refuse to make even the most basic changes to their lifestyles and instead choose the health equivalent of a crab fisherman who enjoys BASE jumping get prioritized over people who have serious risk factors that don’t have a choice.

Sorry to interrupt this sob story. But do you have a link so we can get some context around this?

Also, are you even 40?

Who is eligible to get vaccinated now

In Minnesota right now, you are eligible to get vaccinated if you are a:
  • Minnesotan age 65 or older
  • Health care worker
  • Long-term care resident or staff member
  • Pre-kindergarten through Adult Basic and Community Education school staff member, or contracted school staff member
  • Child care staff member at a licensed and certified child care center or program

Rereading osterholm book “deadliest enemy” from a few years ago, Written well before covid. Talks about killer germs, how things spread, why influenza is still the Most likely big pandemic.

the SARS chapter and how China withheld and suppressed reporting is just maddening.
