2nd edit: holy crap the replies are filled with other accounts. They have no room in refrigeration to store the bodies so they are just stacking them on top of each other in the morgue. This is horrifying to read.

Well that is the Rio Grande Valley...mostly Latinx people so they dont count anyways.

I am sure we are minutes away from someone telling us its no big deal people die and work crappy jobs every day.

Like little children, the Trumpies just have to congregate for silly reasons, and ignore the science. (But, of course, most Trumpies barely shot their way out of HS in the first place.)

The way this idiotic administration is "running" the pandemic "response", watch out for a blood bath when flu season starts.

That, sadly, is probably inevitable already. Trump's "plan" was to ask certain States to piss in a roped-off portion of the National swimming pool. Pure genius!

Everyone who voted for this cretin needs to look in the mirror.
 
Preppers are at it again. Hoarding toilet paper and anything else they can get their selfish hands on. Signs going back up in grocery stores limiting the amount of certain products you can buy on one trip (not that it helps, these idiots go out to the car and come right back in and buy another 48 rolls of toilet paper). A third of the people in this country have turned us into the laughingstock of the world. I'm gonna do something stupid to someone before this is all over. Handy, if I end up in prison our bet is off. :) :D :D

Wow, five more pages just today. Sorry Jeb, I had something completely unexpected dumped on me earlier today and it will take several days to complete said project. Which will prevent me from spending the obviously significant amount of time to address the extremely numerous pieces of misinformation and complete B.S. you've been spouting for now the last 20 or so pages in a single effort at the o'l keyboard. So, I'll have to just peck away at your inability to link to anything from individuals who have legitimate expertise in epidemiology, virology, or infectious diseases tin your attempt to support your completely shitt- narrative.

To Rufus, I completely acknowledge the truth which you speak. However, as many of you have found out since Covid began and I've chosen to engage in the Forums on a more regular basis, I actually enjoy the back and forth and, since generally speaking, I usually have plenty of time to engage with individuals like Jeb. And, I've gotten much better at not accidentally responding directly to one of his posts to prevent really frustrating people who have him on "ignore". Plus, although I'm sure that my buddies Chuck (Murray) and e.cat won't admit it, I like to think I wore them out and registered a "win" in the debate column. Maybe, just maybe, we can prevail over Jeb as well. :D
 
Ok, I've now read thru the newest 5 pages and to Rufus and others who argue that engaging with posters like Jeb is giving them exactly what they yearn for, I don't disagree. However, as I said in my previous post, I actually enjoy the challenge of getting posters like Jeb to actually quiet down for awhile because I/we have actually put him in a box, if only for short time. I also genuinely enjoy getting in the mud with these people although, my goal in doing so is to keep my emotions in check while doing so. Thus, to be honest, I'm actually disappointed in myself for using the language I did last night or, showing the obvious emotion I showed. But hey, none of us are perfect and, failure is often the greatest teacher. I just wish I were as good at looking up articles/sources that clearly counter whatever a person like Jeb has posted the way Kep and many others here are at it.

PPE costs money, and without the normal overpriced operations, hospitals can't make enough money to get extra profits.....

Yea, this is what happens when profit motive creeps into just taking care of your fellow human beings. We've got plenty of places to make a bankroll of money that we can stop it for hospitals and healthcare.
 
Just saw a news report where a KY couple is whining about being forced to isolate since one of them tested positive. They claim that if YOU are afraid of getting sick, stay home, because they want to keep going out. Which means that they want to just spread the virus around as if it doesn't matter. The issue is that a local judge has ordered them to stay home and wear tracking devices.

Holy cow, how selfish of them. I wonder if they would change their tune if one of their parents came down and then was sent to the hospital. Especially given how many times we hear the same story "I didn't know it was that bad" on their deathbed. After they went to a party to get it.

Seems like we will be hearing about this over and over again.

This is what discredits you and makes you look foolish. Please post an article that even closely aligns with what you just posted.

I will give you first crack.

What really happened is that the City or County wanted them to sign papers after their positive test and the couple wanted something amended in what they were signing. I believe it had to do with, if they need to go to the hospital or doctor they could just go. The way the document was worded, they had to call the County first. They were already self quarantining.
