Thanks. He was something else. Had known him since I was in undergrad. The fact that he could post saying his goodbye is just surreal. It was like the last drop that overflowed the bucket. Now I can't stop crying. It is up close and personal but it brings home this is being played out hundreds of times a day with families needing to deal with the loss, the fallout and aftermath. I ache for the nurses who are holding the hands of the dying, having to comfort the families and most probably not managing to be with everyone who is dying. The thought of it all is overwhelming.

As you can see, we peaked & dipped back below the epidemic threshold for 18 Jul. 40-50% of the you have seen reported over the last two weeks have been legacy data laundering. Only a couple states are transparent about this. Please note that lockdown deaths are rising.

This is an important threshold measurement. Because the way Covid is being measured it could go on forever, even more so they way legacy data is being used. I don’t understand the intentional miss use of data?
 
Let’s see those “rights” in action if a hurricane hits. You want to enter the school gymnasium for shelter? Wear a mask. No? Enjoy the storm and hope you have a helmet for the flying debris and a life vest for the flooding. Your body will be recovered when conditions improve.....

This. I just said this to someone this morning. They are quick to feel sacrifice and martyrdom should be required from all the serfs. What they haven't figured out is if the serfs die then no one will be around to serve them

But Donnie is never wrong. And even if Donnie is wrong, he's sure never going to admit it.

By changing how his administration responded to the virus would mean their initial response was wrong. But Donnie cannot be wrong, and so we continue on as before, and things just get worse.

That has to be the scariest, most terrifying experience anyone can have. To be told that, and then nothing to do but wait. Words cannot express.
 
Mass today- the town one over from us had a huge grad party- hotspot. That's OK because the people down the street have been around folks who went and they are going to the neighborhood party that is still happening (we gave that a pass). Then they are going to have a BD party for their kid the next day with 'close friends'. Wouldn't you love to contact trace that?

And then there was the brilliant brainchild who decided to have a football camp with kids from 17 different towns and guess what happened there...

So wait...the 70k new cases and 1400 deaths arent new but are all legacy? Is that the bit now?
