As expected, there is a pretty clear delay between the cases and the deaths. But seeing how it's playing out, Florida looks to average over 100/day for a very long time. Lest we forget, 7/6-9 started out as light days, and they are all near 100.

But these people are going to die anyway, they had pre-existing conditions, they are all overweight and need to be healthy, this is a hoax, deaths are going down,......
 
The Red Sox have shut down E-rod due to ‘minor complications’ from Covid and he will be re-evaluated in a week. That’s a professional athlete in his 20’s getting the best care possible and obviously there are issues. Doesn’t bode well for the rest of us.

I heard today from a Trumpian that this is all Dr. Fauci's fault. So, nothing to worry about. Now that the head guy is in charge and doing the pressers without doctors we're good.

Other than a serious face palm, I'm not sure how to react to that.

For this country's "leader" to think that, it's no wonder we are where we are. And that we should fully expect a LOT more pneumonia deaths, since more and more won't be tested for COVID.

And the worst sufferers are minorities- particularly Hispanics and African Americans. Both of which don't have a serious input to the government in the states where they have suffered worst.

White House never should have allowed them to get tested.
 
If you look at the # of daily tests in FL the 7-day trend has slowly started to fall. They don't have to fake that they can control it, but don't be surprised if they cook the books on deaths more than they likely already have been doing.

If face diapers work why can’t fans attend sporting events? Could even do 50% capacity and require a face diaper. Everything would be all set.

We have top notch scientific proof that protesters and rioters being packed together going on months doesn’t spread Covid.
 
180K excess deaths in the last four months and yet we’re over counting Covid deaths. This is what we’re up against.

So on a personal basis- cruise ships are not going to be allowed to cook the books, as they are under super scrutiny to not get people sick. And it will be interesting to see how they deal with this. Nobody is expecting them to start cruising until 2021, though. I'd bet that a negative test and/or a vaccine will be required. Both of which will be, well, interesting for most of their customers from Florida.

Sorry Ruf, I can't help myself. I'm actually enjoying watching him turn himself into a pretzel to change his initial debate points. And, as I said, I have the time so why not play with him a little. It's like fighting a 4lb smallmouth bass on 5ft ultralight rod. Takes awhile to tire him out in order to land him. ;)
