For conservatives this is a feature, not a bug.
I'm of the opinion this is one of the major reasons we haven't gotten more help for regular people from the government.
When Covid first hit, and states were shutting down, Congress acted really quickly in passing unemployment relief, sending money to individuals, helping out businesses, etc., and promises of more to come. I mean, Mnuchin was even talking the Canada thing of sending people $2000/month.
And then we started getting reports about how Covid was disproportionately affecting black and brown people. And then, nothing.
903 reported deaths yesterday – the 3rd largest single day total since September 29th. 4,504 the past 5 days combined is the most since the week of August 24[SUP]th[/SUP]. The 7-day moving average at 808 is the highest since September 17th. Active cases continue to rise (after flat-lining toward the end of August) and the moving average for new daily cases is the highest it's been since August 1st.
