My favorite is the woman who ways Fauci has a "Neapolitan complex". Apparently he had chocolate, vanilla, and strawberry parts of himself.

I know, but I was kinda hoping the average kids don't graduate.

Cuz the thing is somebody graduates last in his class from MIT theoretical physics*. I'm guessing that person is still a genius.

* BTW it looks to me like if you are not interested in credit the entire MIT physics curriculum with all materials and lectures is available free online. So you too can get the equivalent of a PhD in Einstein–Podolsky–Rosen entanglement. All you need is a computer and time, where by time I'm thinking, oh, 30-40 years of serious study.

30 states with at least double figures deaths yesterday. Even with NY held under 200 it was still a 1600 day. Broadway run's over -- it's on tour.

My doctor didn't really say anything about whether there was a length of time that it would be good for, so I just assumed it was like with MMR or polio, and that I wouldn't have to go back and do it again. However, in reading more about it, it seems like it's kind of unknown as to how long it might last.

THere are a couple of versions of the vaccine.

Without thinking too hard about it, what makes me (I hope) a good physician is:
1. I know what I know, and more importantly...
2. I know what I do not know

When I reach 2, I know who and where to get help from. I think the skill I have most honed in the last 10 years is correctly judging if someone knows what they are talking about.

You must spread rep. Absolutely agree. And if you don't think about # 2 then that is very scary! This is what I tell my students who are freaking about how much they think they don't know. Some of the MDs I have met over the years are idiot savants when it comes to regurgitating info or thinking of differentials but are completely oblivious to the human side or how it might be applied in real life.

FIrst tenet= do no harm. There are a few very public medicals that missed the ethics part of class.

There have been quite a few single doctor opinions that totally fly in the face of what is going on, but only justified by the statement "I'm a doctor". That does not mean the opinion is correct, or even valid scientifically. Just that the doctor opined something.
