Re: Covfefe-19: Do What Now?

Remember this with respect to the USG response.

The study estimates that by the end of February 2020 there was a total of 114, 325 COVID-19 cases in China. It shows that without non-pharmaceutical interventions – such as early detection, isolation of cases, travel restrictions and cordon sanitaire – the number of infected people would have been 67 times larger than that which actually occurred.

The research also found that if interventions in the country could have been conducted one week, two weeks, or three weeks earlier, cases could have been reduced by 66 percent, 86 percent and 95 percent respectively – significantly limiting the geographical spread of the disease. However, if NPIs were conducted one week, two weeks, or three weeks later than they were, the number of cases may have shown a 3-fold, 7-fold, or 18-fold increase, respectively.

That fat POS temporarily sliming up the White House may have killed tens of thousands of people by his combination of laziness, bullying, and stupidity. We'll see.

Re: Covfefe-19: Do What Now?

3/19 in the books. New cases by date:

Code:
3/01 0
3/02 25
3/03 24
3/04 34
3/05 63
3/06 98
3/07 116
3/08 106
3/09 163
3/10 290
3/11 307
3/12 396
3/13 550
3/14 696
3/15 737
3/16 983
3/17 1,748
3/18 2,848
3/19 4,530

The same curve is starting to replicate for deaths per day:

Code:
3/01 0
3/02 5
3/03 3
3/04 2
3/05 1
3/06 3
3/07 4
3/08 3
3/09 4
3/10 4
3/11 8
3/12 3
3/13 8
3/14 8
3/15 11
3/16 18
3/17 23
3/18 41
3/19 58

If that holds, then the top chart is the future death chart, offset 14 days. Let's all hope the second curve is much, much flatter.

For perspective, single day death counts following the top curve would be:

Code:
3/19 2017 Las Vegas shooting (58)
3/29 9/11 (4,000)
4/06 Antietam (22,000)
4/10 all US deaths in Vietnam (58,000)
4/14 all Japanese deaths from the two atomic bombs (200,000)
4/19 all US deaths in WW2 (405,000)

I can't post it because I'm on mobile, but I think our graph is now showing a sharper incline than even Italy's. That's a great omen.

That is probably because our testing is permeating more quickly. There's no reason we would have higher lethality.

F-ck Bill Kristol with a broken bottle. He's one reason we're here.

Re: Covfefe-19: Do What Now?

I swear to god you have to be brainless to vote GOP at any level. These people can DIAF

“ GOP lawmakers are pushing back against Gov. Tim Walz’s recent executive orders aimed at slowing the spread of the coronavirus, questioning his authority to shutter businesses and change unemployment rules without the Legislature’s approval.”

Re: Covfefe-19: Do What Now?

Twice in here tonight he said Congress is exempt/immune to insider trading

AOC had a hearing where she asked a witness giving info if he knew any members of congress could take his testimony in closed session and trade on it, and not get in trouble

Re: Covfefe-19: Do What Now?

Tomorrow the Feds are going to lock us down for two weeks.

Can you imagine that. My neighbor eats 3 meals a day out. What about smokers or drinkers who can't get booze and butts. I can't see it, this isn't the greatest generation where sacrifice was the rule of the day.

Any profits they made should be forfeit, and the proceeds go towards paying working people's wages for the next few months.

3 people in my state just filed suit against the governor for doing the same thing.
