The answer is that people should be attempting to limit contact to everyone because there is absolutely no way to know. If you have any symptoms at all then you need to work on that moreSo a question for the experts (les...)
It's being said that 85% of people who get this virus will have little to no symptoms.
If you are one of them, what symptoms and what degree of those symptoms should you self quarantine? I can picture someone who gets warm in an afternoon, maybe coughs a few times- barely worse even to a cold kind of thing. For sure, given the current standard to get a limited test, there's no way that you are going to be tested- so the odds if you actually knowing is virtually nothing (unless, apparently, you are a star, since it appears the NBA is all going to get tested....).
What recommendation is being put out for the barely any symptom people who get this- and have no idea?
Thanks.
The reason I ask is that if we have 10 confirmed cases- which I'm wondering if they are in the 10% serious enough to test area- that would mean there are 90 others out there who have it, 85 of which will have no major issues, and X will have barely even any symptoms wandering around.
(which is why the current policy of social separation w/o many confirmed cases makes SO much sense)
People don't like situations where the numbers look bad. Esp when they haven't seen that happen beforeThat seems preposterous
ANytime you are sick stay home. That was true before thisYou're describing my own situation right now. Have had cold symptoms for about a week. No fever at any time just stuffy nose, sore throat, breathing felt a little different, bit of a cough last night. Haven't coughed this morning but just laying here in bed. Supposed to go see dr this afternoon. But should I even do that? My thought is I don't wanna shrug it off when pneumonia is a possibility. My sister thinks it's flu b but considering I am laying here in no significant pain do they want me coming in? At the same time I want to stay ahead of it the best I can.
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=uxROKabhDP8So my best friend from HS, who is very smart but a Dumpy who consumes right wing news (not Flaggy but, you know, American Spectator, National Review) just wrote me "the recession caused by the overreaction is going to kill more people than the virus."
There's no way to help people trapped in a data killing jar. Remember: he's top 5% smart.

You would think the one place we would see socially responsible behaviour would be a church
Correct. So mookie could choose his own dr, but mookie and his dr can’t choose their own test![]()
Oh thank God he let an adult speak now.
Is it too much to hope that one of 'em in the middle of that group has allergies and sneezes?<blockquote class="twitter-tweet"><p lang="en" dir="ltr">oh hell yeah pack in real tight <a href="https://t.co/nZJuiilkTj">pic.twitter.com/nZJuiilkTj</a></p>— Emily G (@EmilyGorcenski) <a href="https://twitter.com/EmilyGorcenski/status/1238548166355664896?ref_src=twsrc%5Etfw">March 13, 2020</a></blockquote> <script async src="https://platform.twitter.com/widgets.js" charset="utf-8"></script>

Get an email not 30 min later- having services with alterations. Don't come if you are sick. Disgusting. I sent a less than Christian response. You would think the one place we would see socially responsible behaviour would be a church (we aren't "The Church" so no one goes to Hell, Purgatory or Limbo if they don't attend)

This presidential news conference was brought to you by Roche, a leading medical company with global reach and responsibly.
Roche, working to help you and your family.
I heard the reason it spread so widely in the New Rochelle orthodox Jewish community is because, well, orthodox Jews go to the Synagogue a lot, and it tends to be a relatively confined space. Only one person (an attorney who was at a European conference) was infected. Then, bam, it spread like wildfire throughout the community.
