Are the cis okay?
There are concerns with my job. I work with autistic kids, and our bigwigs are meeting today to discuss.

“ BREAKING: Just before the chamber was scheduled to vote, House Minority Leader Kevin McCarthy said he would not support a Democrat-led coronavirus bill that would require employers to grant paid sick leave and bolster unemployment benefits, in addition to ensuring free diagnostic testing.”
Is the hold up who pays?
I just got an alert that the Big Ten Tourny game between Iowa and Minnesota is cancelled...

So there is a nuance to the terms the major league sports teams are using to announce their shutdown, these leagues are technically "suspending" their seasons.
Why use the word "suspending?" Because this allows them to keep the money for tickets sold without offering refunds.
Also, insurance companies are hitting back by stating that unless specific riders were added to insurance plans, team owners cannot come crawling to them with hat in hand looking for a check.
The *only* cases where insurance would pay out is if a local health department limited fans and teams reacted accordingly.
Being pro-active, like the NBA and South-by-Southwest, will (likely) be ineligible to file claims for this.
While that is smart now...the amount of backlash they will receive later over this is going to be ridiculous. I get it...but just dumb.
Suspending the season is fine, because in theory a month from now everything could be different. But they will end up having to change course if this lasts for a couple of months and they dont resume. They back track later will look ten times worse.
I wonder if the B1G will pull their teams out from the NC$$s.

If you're talking about the insurance companies they don't care how they "look," they're part of the vampire squid.
"We don't care. We don't have to. We're the phone company."

I am talking about the sports leagues.
Mark Cuban is on CNBC right now and says that he fully expects the NBA season to extend on into the summer. There isn't anything preventing the league from doing that.
Our only hope is trump gets it. Maybe someone can step in then. I don’t care who.
Selfishly, while all the conference tournaments are canceled, I’m hoping the NCAA simply “postpones” their tournament. May Madness? June Madness? Lets do it.
