Re: Covfefe-19 2020 part the second: Wash Your Hands

Plenty of people in red states taking this seriously. Kentucky has ordered no visitation for prisoners, cancel all church services (obviously a big deal in Kentucky), non-essential travel for businesses is supposed to cease, and one of our smaller colleges (Berea) closed its campus the rest of the semester. Plenty of us in the LOL Red States are Stupid! are just as nervous and preparing just as much as y’all are...

Sorry for the generalization. The coasts seem more into intervention and preparing.

Re: Covfefe-19 2020 part the second: Wash Your Hands

So, I posted information on a FB thread because people were complaining that they canceled a race. Basic facts. This was offensive because running a half marathon is way more important than stopping the spread of the virus and standing, crammed together with a few other thousand people who are breathing in your face, spitting etc is not at all dangerous because runners are in shape. ANd the subways are still working.

Did you know that the WHO's days are numbered and we shouldn't trust scientists. I think some of the people who run long distances may have suffered from large chunks of time with hypoxia.

:)
Girl and Mookie just ran to the store for milk and bread and saw that as the headline in the English language newspaper (director denies airports will close for two weeks).
Mookie laughed and read it to girl, adding “yes, it will be closed for three weeks” :p

You let her out from the basement?

Dollars to doughnuts we have the first case in Maine, but the person refuses to be tested. A parishioner at mom's church got back from a trip last week and spent most of the day walking around the Atlanta airport waiting for her connecting flight. Now she has bronchitis and several people have told her to go to the ER or call the doctor but she seems to think she can just beat it on her own.

No fans at Frozen Four, I'm assuming. NCAA just said no fans for bouncyball tournament.

Re: Covfefe-19 2020 part the second: Wash Your Hands

Right now 900 of the 1100 known cases in the US are in coastal states, so that makes sense.

We travel.

Wait til Orville the Pig gets infected. The whole Midwest will go up like a rocket.

Holy god. That's like 95% of their revenue. Well, most of that is from TV rights, but still! WHOA.

That just means TV ratings will increase marginally. It will actually be increased more by all the people who would normally have gathered at sports bars but will now watch at home.

Churches should be shut down. Lots of old people gathered together. It won’t be good.

I stopped going to church when I left for college (1998) but when I was a kid going to Catholic Church everyone drank wine out of the same cup! Hopefully they don’t still do that...
